Today we’d like to introduce you to Princey & Preethy Varghese.
Hi Princey & Preethy , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Varian Events really started long before it became a business. My sister and I have always been the people our family and friends turned to whenever there was a celebration. We grew up decorating birthday parties, our parents’ anniversary celebrations, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and eventually baby showers. We genuinely loved bringing someone’s vision to life and finding creative ways to make every event feel unique and memorable. A big part of that creativity was shaped through our church in Mesquite. Every year for Vacation Bible School (VBS), we helped transform the space from the ground up. We weren’t just putting up a few decorations, we were literally designing immersive environments, from floor décor and backdrops to ceiling draping and everything in between. It taught us how to dream big, solve problems creatively, and create experiences that made people feel like they had stepped into something special.
Along the way, our husbands became part of the journey. Princey was already married to Ryan, and Preethy was about to get engaged to Pramson, so they naturally jumped in wherever they were needed. Ryan became our go-to for logistics, heavy lifting, and making sure everything came together on event day, while Pramson brought our ideas to life through custom woodworking and handcrafted pieces. They were God sends for everything!
Over time, people kept telling us the same thing: “You’re the people we call when we don’t know where to start. You’re so creative… you should really turn this into a business.” We always appreciated the encouragement, but it was our cousin who finally gave us the push we needed. He believed in us from the beginning and said, “You guys need to start an LLC, and I’ll be your first client.”
So that’s exactly what we did.
Our first official event was his parents’ 75th birthday celebration. Not long after, we took on our biggest projects yet – our own weddings. Together, the four of us designed nearly every detail ourselves, from the stages and ceremony spaces to the photo booths, tablescapes, and countless custom touches, many of which was built by hand.
Looking back, it’s amazing to see how years of simply doing what we loved naturally evolved into the company we have today and we’re excited to continue growing while helping people celebrate the moments that matter most. What started as a creative outlet for family and friends has grown into a business that the four of us now run together and has now even expanded into wedding and event planning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not—but I don’t think most worthwhile things are.
One of our biggest challenges has been balancing Varian Events while all four of us have full-time careers. Every event happens because of countless evenings, weekends, and late nights spent designing, building, planning, and setting up. Since we’re a family-run business, we’ve also had to learn how to wear multiple hats and trust each other’s strengths. Princey focuses on creative vision and client experience, Preethy brings the design and planning, Pramson is our handyman and creates many of our custom wood pieces, and Ryan keeps everything organized and running smoothly on event days.
Another challenge has been learning as we’ve grown. Every event is different, and with each one we’ve refined our processes, expanded our inventory, and found better ways to serve our clients and each other. There have been long nights, unexpected problems, and moments where we’ve had to get creative under pressure, but those experiences have made us stronger and more confident. We’ve learned even a lot about each other and our preferences and that has shaped how we communicate and work better together.
Looking back, we wouldn’t change any of it. Every challenge has helped shape the business we have today and reminded us why we love creating celebrations that people will remember for years to come.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Varian Events, we specialize in event planning and décor for weddings and celebrations, but what we really love is taking an idea – or sometimes no idea at all – and turning it into an experience that feels uniquely personal. Many of our clients come to us saying, “I know how I want it to feel, but I have no idea where to start.” That’s where we thrive.
We’re known for transforming spaces and paying attention to the details that make an event memorable. Whether it’s custom backdrops, handcrafted wood pieces, statement stages, unique photo opportunities, or thoughtfully designed tablescapes, we love creating environments that feel intentional from the moment guests walk in.
What sets us apart is that we’re truly a family team. Each of us brings something different to the table – creative design, planning, custom woodworking, logistics, and execution – which allows us to create events that are both beautiful and functional. Because we’re involved in every step of the process, we treat each event as if it were our own.
What we’re most proud of isn’t just the events we’ve created, it’s the relationships we’ve built along the way. There’s no better feeling than seeing a client’s vision come to life, watching their reaction when they walk into the room for the first time, and knowing we helped create memories they’ll cherish for years to come. That’s what inspires us every time we take on a new event.

Varian Events has truly been a team effort, and we would not be where we are today without the incredible support system around us.
Our dad has been one of our biggest supporters from the very beginning. Whether it’s helping us transport pieces from our storage unit, assisting with heavy lifting, or stepping in wherever we need an extra hand, he has always been willing to help bring our ideas to life. His support has allowed us to take on bigger projects and reminds us that we have an entire family cheering us on behind the scenes.
Our husbands, Ryan and Pramson, have also played an essential role in the success of Varian Events. From logistics and event setup to custom woodworking and building pieces that bring our designs to life, they have been there every step of the way.
We are also incredibly grateful for our family, friends, and clients who believed in us early on. Our cousin was the first person to encourage us to officially turn our passion into a business and became our very first client. Since then, the continued trust from our community – whether through referrals, booking us for their own celebrations, or simply encouraging us along the way – has meant everything.
