Today we’d like to introduce you to Brother Ben X.
Brother Ben, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story really started before I fully understood that I was becoming an entrepreneur. I was just trying to figure out how to change my life, take care of my family, and use the internet to create opportunities that I did not see around me.
I did not come from a traditional business background. I did not have investors, a big team, or somebody handing me a blueprint. A lot of what I learned came from studying, trying different things, failing, adjusting, and being willing to put myself out there.
One of the biggest things I learned early was how powerful social media could be. I started creating content, building an audience, sharing what I was learning, and helping people understand money, business, ownership, and personal development in a way that was easy to understand.
That eventually led to me helping build ABS, which stood for Assets Before Splurging. They were an insurance firm. I first was an affiliate of them, but attracted so many people to the business I became a part owner of the company, and once I became a partner I helped expand It to more than just insurance.
The idea behind ABS was simple. Before you spend your money on things that make you look rich, use your money to buy or build something that can build wealth, like insurance. We wanted people to understand assets, business, insurance, and different ways to create wealth.
ABS became bigger than just insurance. It became a movement and a community. We created programs, hosted events, taught thousands of people, and helped everyday people begin seeing themselves as business owners and investors.
In our first year, ABS generated around $1.9 million outside of insurance policies. That was a major moment for us because it showed us that we could create something from an idea, build a community around it, and turn education into a real business.
After ABS, we went on to build BWO with 2 other founders, which stood for Bridging Wealth Opportunities.
BWO was created to help people learn how to make money online and grow the money they made. We taught people about digital products, marketing, trading, private banking and mindset.
At the time, a lot of people in our community knew they wanted more financially, but they did not always know where to start. They would hear people say, “Start a business,” but nobody was really showing them what type of business to start, how to market it, how to build an audience, or how to turn what they knew into income.
We wanted to help close that gap.
BWO grew into a large online education community with thousands of paying members. We generated over $12M in a year.
We also experienced what I call a million-dollar day, where the business generated over $1 million in a single day.
That was something I had never imagined when I first started online.
Through ABS, BWO, and the other businesses and campaigns I have been involved in, we have generated over $30M combined online. I have been able to build an audience of over 2 million people, teach more than 20,000 students over the years.
But the money was not the only part of the journey.
Building those companies taught me about leadership, partnerships, marketing, sales, team building, customer experience, systems, and the responsibility that comes with having influence.
It also taught me some hard lessons.
I learned that just because a business is making money does not mean everything inside of the business is healthy. You can have revenue coming in, but still need better systems, better communication, clearer roles, stronger leadership, and more alignment between the people involved.
I have experienced businesses growing extremely fast. I have experienced partnerships ending. I have experienced seasons where things looked successful publicly, but behind the scenes, we were still learning how to manage the responsibility of what we had built.
Those experiences shaped the way I look at business today.
I do not just look at revenue. I look at the systems behind the revenue. I look at whether the business can operate without the owner doing everything. I look at whether the company can consistently generate leads, follow up with those leads, close customers, serve those customers, and track where the money is coming from.
That is what led me deeper into marketing, paid advertising, funnels, automation, and business systems.
Today, one of my main focuses is my marketing firm.
We help established businesses build automated client acquisition systems. That means we do more than just run an ad and hope somebody buys.
We look at the entire process.
We help businesses improve their offer, identify the right customer, create the messaging, write the advertising scripts, build the funnel, set up the CRM, install the follow-up automations, launch the Facebook and Instagram ads, track the leads, and help the business turn those leads into paying customers.
A lot of business owners already have a good service. Their biggest problem is that they do not have a predictable way to get customers.
They may be depending on referrals, word of mouth, organic posting, or buying leads from another company. That can work for a while, but it usually leaves the owner in a position where they do not know where their next customer is coming from.
We help them build a system around that.
I have worked with coaches, consultants, service providers, local businesses, schools, and other companies that needed a better way to generate and manage opportunities.
For example, we have had campaigns where approximately $19,000 in advertising produced around $120,000 in revenue. We have had individual campaigns generate a nine times return on ad spend. We have also helped businesses generate leads and sales without requiring the owner to post organically every single day.
What I have learned is that advertising works best when it is connected to a full ecosystem.
The ad gets the attention, but then you need the right offer, the right page, the right follow-up, the right sales process, and the right tracking. When those pieces work together, a business can grow without everything depending on the owner manually chasing every lead.
At this stage of my life, I am also focused on something bigger than online business.
That is where Building Wealthy Families, also known as BWF, comes in.
BWF started from the idea that if we really want to change the condition of families and communities, we cannot only teach people how to make money online. We also have to create real institutions, real career pathways, real training, and real opportunities.
We initially explored BWF as a virtual education model, but over time the vision evolved into workforce development and physical trade schools.
Today, we are building BWF Trade School in Dallas.
The goal is to provide practical career training for people who may not want to attend a traditional four-year college, cannot afford to spend years in school, or simply need a faster path into a career or business opportunity.
Our programs are designed to prepare people in areas such as digital marketing, artificial intelligence, business administration, tax preparation, bookkeeping, logistics, insurance, graphic design, healthcare administration, customer service, culinary arts, and other career-focused industries.
We are also focused on helping students understand more than just the technical skill.
We want them to understand how to communicate, how to sell themselves, how to manage money, how to build a business, how to solve problems, and how to use technology.
Because somebody can learn a skill, but if they do not know how to market themselves, manage their money, communicate with people, or create opportunities, they may still struggle.
BWF is about building the entire person and strengthening the entire family.
We have already done a lot of the groundwork. We have worked on curriculum development, workforce partnerships, student orientations, school operations, career training models, and relationships with organizations that can help connect students to funded education and employment opportunities.
We have also helped with the backend development of a workforce school in Atlanta. That experience gave us a deeper understanding of what it takes to build a school, work with workforce organizations, develop programs, serve students, and connect education to actual career opportunities.
In Dallas, we have been building relationships with workforce organizations, community leaders, youth programs, and other people who care about education and economic development.
The long-term vision is much bigger than one school.
The vision is to create a model that can be duplicated in different cities. A model where people can gain a skill, earn certifications, find employment, start businesses, increase their income, and build wealth inside of their families.
When I look back at my journey, I can see how every stage prepared me for the next one.
ABS taught me how to build a movement around financial education.
BWO taught me how to build and scale a digital education company.
The marketing firm taught me how to create systems that help businesses consistently generate revenue.
BWF is allowing me to take everything I have learned and use it to build institutions that can create long-term impact.
I started out trying to figure out how to make money online.
Then I learned how to build businesses.
Then I learned how to help other people build businesses.
Now, I am focused on building systems, schools, and institutions that can outlive me.
Of course, I am still growing. I am still learning. I am still improving as a businessman, leader, partner, father, and servant to the people.
But today, my mission is clear.
I want to use business, education, marketing, technology, and ownership to help people become more economically independent. I want to help business owners stop depending on luck and start building systems. I want to help families gain access to skills and opportunities. I want to help our communities build institutions that we can own, control, and pass down.
For me, success is not just about how much money I can make.
It is about how many people can become stronger, more skilled, more confident, and more independent because of what we were willing to build.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road.
A lot of people see the money, the followers, the businesses, the students, and the accomplishments, but they do not always see what it took to get there or what it took to keep going after certain things fell apart.
One of the biggest struggles was learning how to build while I was still growing as a person. I was building companies, managing teams, working with partners, serving thousands of people, and making decisions involving millions of dollars, while still learning leadership, communication, patience, structure, and discipline in real time.
There were seasons when the business was growing faster than we were growing internally. We knew how to market. We knew how to sell. We knew how to build excitement and create movements. But when something grows that fast, you also need systems, clear roles, strong communication, financial structure, and alignment between everybody involved.
We did not always have that.
I have experienced partnerships ending, friendships changing, disagreements over business, miscommunication, and seasons where something we built together was no longer able to continue in the same way.
That was hard because when you build something from the ground up with people, it is more than just business. There are relationships, memories, families, teams, students, and communities connected to it.
I also had to learn how to separate my identity from the success of the business.
When you become known for certain companies or accomplishments, it can be easy to feel like you have to keep proving yourself. When things slow down, change, or fall apart, you can start questioning who you are without that business, that money, or that recognition.
I had to go through a real process of rebuilding myself mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
There were times when I made a lot of money and still did not have the peace, structure, or clarity that I needed. That taught me that revenue does not solve every problem. Money can expose problems just as quickly as it can solve them.
Another struggle has been learning not to do everything myself.
For a long time, I was used to being the marketer, the salesperson, the content creator, the strategist, the leader, and sometimes even the person doing the small administrative tasks. That can work when you are starting, but it becomes a limitation when the vision gets bigger.
I had to learn how to build teams, delegate, create processes, hold people accountable, and trust other people to carry responsibility.
I have also dealt with inconsistency, burnout, disappointment, and seasons where I lost inspiration.
There were times when I knew what I was capable of, but I did not always feel connected to the work I was doing. There were also seasons when personal life, family responsibilities, business challenges, and relationships affected how much energy I could give to certain projects.
With BWF Trade School, for example, the vision has always been strong, but execution has not always moved as fast as we wanted.
We have dealt with permits, construction, curriculum, workforce requirements, partnerships, funding, staffing, and the challenge of building a physical institution. Building an online business can happen quickly. Building a school is different. There are regulations, facilities, approvals, and a lot of moving pieces.
There were periods when BWF became stagnant. My partner had to take a sabbatical, personal responsibilities affected momentum, and because we had always operated so closely together, when one person slowed down, the entire operation slowed down.
That taught me another important lesson. A real institution cannot depend entirely on the energy of one or two people. It has to have structure, defined leadership, systems, and people who can keep the mission moving.
The marketing side has also come with struggles.
Running ads and generating leads is only one part of helping a business grow. Sometimes the marketing works, but the business does not follow up properly. Sometimes the offer needs work. Sometimes the sales process is weak. Sometimes the owner wants results but is not prepared to change their systems.
I had to learn how to choose the right clients, set expectations, track results, communicate value, and make sure everybody understands their responsibility.
There have also been financial lessons.
Making money and managing money are two different skills. Building a company that generates millions does not automatically mean every financial decision will be perfect. I had to learn more about cash flow, taxes, agreements, ownership, compensation, reinvestment, and protecting the business.
A lot of my struggles came from learning lessons after the success had already arrived.
Most people think the struggle is only trying to make money. Sometimes the struggle is trying to become the person who can properly manage what you prayed for.
I have made mistakes. I have trusted the wrong people. I have moved too fast in certain situations. I have not always had the right agreements in place. I have sometimes allowed relationships and emotions to replace clear business structure.
But I do not look at those experiences as wasted time.
Every challenge showed me something I needed to improve.
The partnerships taught me the importance of alignment and clear roles.
The financial lessons taught me the importance of structure and accountability.
The burnout taught me the importance of purpose, rest, and building teams.
The business failures taught me how to rebuild.
The success taught me that money is a tool, not the mission.
The slow seasons taught me patience.
And the personal struggles taught me that the business can only grow as far as the leader is willing to grow.
So no, it has not been smooth.
But I believe the difficult parts of the journey gave me the wisdom, experience, and maturity to build differently now. Today, I am not just focused on building something that looks successful. I am focused on building businesses and institutions that are healthy, structured, sustainable, and able to make a real impact.
As you know, we’re big fans of Digital Wealthy System. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Digital Wealthy System is a marketing firm that helps businesses build predictable systems for generating leads, acquiring customers, and increasing revenue.
We specialize in helping businesses that already have a valuable product or service, but do not have a consistent system for getting new customers. A lot of the business owners we work with are good at what they do, but they are still depending heavily on referrals, word of mouth, organic posting, or manually chasing leads.
Our job is to help them turn their marketing into a real system.
We do not just run ads. We look at the entire customer acquisition process.
That includes helping the business clarify its offer, understand its ideal customer, develop the right messaging, create ad campaigns, build landing pages and funnels, set up a CRM, install follow-up automations, generate leads, and help the company improve how those leads are converted into paying customers.
We specialize in paid advertising, especially Facebook and Instagram ads, but what really sets us apart is the ecosystem we build around the ads.
A lot of marketing companies focus only on getting clicks or leads. We understand that a lead by itself does not mean much if the business does not have the proper follow-up, sales process, automation, tracking, and customer journey in place.
The ad is only one piece.
We focus on building what we call an automated client acquisition system. The goal is to create a process where the business can consistently attract the right people, nurture them from cold to hot, capture their information, follow up with them, book appointments, track conversations, and convert more opportunities into revenue.
We also focus heavily on the messaging behind the marketing.
Many businesses do not have a traffic problem. They have a clarity problem. Their offer is confusing, their message is too broad, or the customer does not immediately understand why they should choose that business over another option.
Because of my background in content, sales, digital products, audience building, and online education, I understand how to take something valuable and position it in a way that people can understand and respond to.
That is one of the things I believe separates us from traditional marketing firms.
We do not approach marketing from only a technical perspective. We understand the psychology of the customer. We understand content. We understand offers. We understand sales. We understand how to take attention and move that attention toward a decision.
We have been able to help clients generate strong returns through paid advertising. In one campaign, approximately $19,000 in ad spend produced around $120,000 in revenue. We have also had campaigns produce as much as a nine times return on ad spend.
Those results matter, but I am most proud of the fact that we are helping business owners build assets inside of their companies.
A well-built funnel is an asset.
A strong offer is an asset.
A CRM filled with leads is an asset.
An automated follow-up system is an asset.
A successful advertising campaign that can be tracked, improved, and scaled is an asset.
Our goal is not to make a business permanently dependent on random marketing tactics. We want to help them build infrastructure that makes growth more predictable.
We primarily work with coaches, consultants, service providers, local businesses, schools, and other companies that have already proven that people are willing to pay for what they offer.
The best clients for us are usually businesses that are already generating revenue, have a strong service, and are now ready to install the marketing systems needed to reach the next level.
We are especially known for helping businesses that are tired of relying on word of mouth.
Word of mouth is powerful, but it is difficult to control. A business owner should not have to wake up every month wondering whether enough people will refer them.
We help businesses create a system that allows them to go directly into the marketplace, communicate their value, and generate opportunities on purpose.
Another thing that sets us apart is that we understand that the business owner may not want to become a full-time content creator.
A lot of entrepreneurs feel like they have to post every day, go viral, or build a huge personal brand just to keep their business alive.
We have helped businesses use paid advertising to acquire customers without depending on constant organic posting.
That does not mean content is unimportant. It means content should be used strategically. We create what we call Power Content, which is content designed to solve a real problem, build trust, and create a qualified audience that can later be retargeted.
This allows us to combine education, advertising, automation, and direct response marketing into one system.
I am also proud of the way we communicate with our clients.
We do not want clients looking at a dashboard full of numbers they do not understand. We explain what the numbers mean, why they matter, what is working, what needs to change, and what the next step should be.
We believe business owners should understand the basic health of their marketing.
They should know how much it costs to generate a lead, how much it costs to book a call, how well the sales process is converting, and how much revenue is being created from the money being spent.
At the end of the day, Digital Wealthy System is about helping businesses create more control.
More control over their lead flow.
More control over their customer acquisition.
More control over their follow-up.
More control over their data.
And ultimately, more control over their growth.
What I want readers to understand is that we are not simply selling ads, funnels, or software.
We are helping businesses install a system that connects all of those pieces together.
Our mission is to help good businesses stop being hidden, stop depending on luck, and build a predictable path to more customers and more revenue.
