Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian Benga.
Hi Sebastian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My co-founder, Iulia Armburster, is an architect who spent years working in architecture and interior design. While she enjoyed the discipline and attention to detail that architecture requires, she was looking for a more creative outlet, one where imagination wasn’t limited by physical constraints. That curiosity eventually led her to explore the world of CGI and digital visualization.
My background is in engineering, so I naturally approached things from a more technical perspective. I’ve always been fascinated by the technology behind creating realistic visuals, optimizing workflows, and solving complex production challenges.
When we started Meshly Studio, we realized that our different skill sets complemented each other perfectly. Iulia brought a strong design sensibility, artistic direction, and an eye for composition, while I focused on the technical side of production, problem-solving, and building efficient pipelines. Together, we created a studio where creativity and technical precision go hand in hand.
What began as a small creative partnership has grown into a studio specializing in high-end 3D visualization, CGI, and motion design for brands, agencies, and production teams. Today, we collaborate with clients across a variety of industries, creating everything from photorealistic product imagery to cinematic animations for advertising, product launches, and digital campaigns.
At its core, Meshly Studio was built on the belief that great visual storytelling happens when creative vision meets technical excellence. Every project is an opportunity to push ourselves creatively, experiment with new ideas, and help our clients communicate their products in a memorable way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most creative businesses, the journey has been anything but linear. One of the biggest challenges in the beginning was building trust. As a young studio, we had to prove that we could deliver the same level of quality and reliability as much larger teams.
Another challenge was finding the right balance between creativity and running a business. Creating great visuals is only one part of the job. Learning about sales, client communication, pricing, project management, and building long-term relationships has been just as important.
The creative industry also moves incredibly fast. New tools, workflows, and AI technologies are constantly changing the way we work. Rather than seeing that as a threat, we’ve embraced continuous learning and adapted our pipeline to stay efficient while maintaining the level of quality our clients expect.
Probably the biggest lesson has been understanding that success doesn’t come from chasing every opportunity. It comes from focusing on the type of work we genuinely enjoy, building lasting partnerships, and consistently delivering high-quality results. Every challenge has helped us refine both our creative process and the way we collaborate with clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Meshly Studio, we specialize in high-end 3D product visualization, CGI, and motion design for brands, agencies, and production teams. We create photorealistic product imagery and animations that help businesses launch products, tell compelling stories, and connect with their audiences across digital platforms.
What I enjoy most about this work is that every project presents a new creative challenge. One day we’re visualizing a luxury fragrance campaign, the next we’re creating animations for industrial products or furniture collections. No two projects are the same, and that constant variety keeps us inspired.
I believe what sets us apart is the combination of our backgrounds. My co-founder brings an architect’s eye for design, composition, and aesthetics, while I approach projects from an engineering perspective, focusing on technical precision, efficient workflows, and problem-solving. That balance allows us to create visuals that are both beautiful and technically refined.
Rather than simply producing attractive images, we aim to become an extension of our clients’ creative teams. We adapt to different production pipelines, communicate closely throughout the process, and focus on delivering work that not only looks great but also serves a clear marketing purpose.
What I’m most proud of isn’t a single project, it’s the relationships we’ve built. Seeing clients come back with new ideas and trust us with increasingly ambitious projects is probably the most rewarding part of what we do. As a relatively young studio, earning that trust has been one of our biggest achievements, and it’s something we never take for granted.
Any big plans?
We’re still at the beginning of our journey, and that’s what makes this stage so exciting. Our goal isn’t simply to grow larger. It’s to build a creative studio that’s recognized for consistently delivering high-quality work and being a reliable partner for brands and agencies.
Looking ahead, we’d love to collaborate with more international clients, take on larger campaigns, and continue refining our craft in 3D visualization and motion design. Every project is an opportunity to improve, experiment, and raise the quality of our work.
As the studio grows, we’d also like to build a small team of talented artists who share our passion for design, storytelling, and attention to detail. We believe staying lean, collaborative, and quality-focused will allow us to maintain the level of creativity and personal involvement that our clients appreciate.
Ultimately, our ambition is simple: to create work that has a lasting impact, build long-term relationships with clients, and establish Meshly Studio as a trusted creative partner for brands around the world.
