Check Out Dr Ayeshia Duru’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Ayeshia Duru.

Hi Dr Ayeshia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a Philadelphia native who has called the DFW area home for more than 20 years. I’m a wife, mother of three, and have served as a hospital-based clinical pharmacist for nearly three decades.
Entrepreneurially, I wear several hats. I operate my own online e-commerce business as an independent Unfranchise Owner with Market America. Being an Unfranchise Owner not only provides access to products that improves my health and those I love, it allows me to earn by changing how I shop while teaching others to do the same. Market America’s business model is built on the Shopping Annuity concept, which rewards consumers for purchasing products they already use every day through partnerships with manufacturers of items most families use. This allows me to spend wisely, help others while helping myself.
With my husband, I co-own Hello Boba, a café in McKinney, Texas, where we serve handcrafted boba teas, desserts, and light bites while creating a welcoming space for the community.
I’m also the founder of The Well Withinn, a faith-centered wellness and personal growth brand dedicated to helping women cultivate faith, health, and WELLth from within. Through coaching, community, and transformational gatherings, I help women reconnect with God, rediscover their purpose, and build sustainable lives rooted in whole-person wellness; mind, body, and spirit.
Finally I love helping a few local non-profit reach their mission statements by dedicating my time, finances or sphere of influence to help them awareness of those they help.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my greatest challenges has been staying anchored to my mission. No one else’s. In today’s world, it is easy to look around and feel pressure to follow trends or build your business the way everyone else is doing it. I’ve learned that my greatest impact comes from embracing my voice and the gifts God has uniquely given me rather than chasing someone else’s blueprint.
Another ongoing challenge is balancing the many roles I hold as a wife, mother, pharmacist, and dual entrepreneur. Because I am all of these things, I have to stay mindful of my energy and capacity. I am learning to say no. I have learned the power of asking for and receiving help. I am learning that just because I CAN do something it doesn’t mean I SHOULD. I am leaning that in some seasons it’s okay to have one expression of who I am downsize or go dormant to prioritize rest.
Learning how to steward my roles well is a continual journey of growth for me. In short I’m still growing in this area.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Whether I’m caring for patients as a pharmacist, welcoming guests into Hello Boba, providing WELLth strategies to clients or leading women through The Well Withinn, my work centers on creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected. I am most proud that I can honor someone’s uniqueness without allowing it to threaten my own sense of self.
I believe that physical health is the primary foundation to a life of impact. Without it, our influence and impact will be short lived. Whether providing exclusive products like NMN or coaching a client through my 12 week TRIM program my goal is to help create a ripple effect by being apart of someone’s transformation story because they made health their priority.

I believe meaningful transformation happens in community, and my hope is that those I’ve worked with lead healthier, more hopeful, and empowered lives.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve learned that risk-taking doesn’t always look like making a huge, dramatic decision. Sometimes it looks like being willing to try something new when you don’t know exactly how it will turn out.

As a brick-and-mortar small business owner with Hello Boba, every new drink, food item, or business decision comes with some uncertainty. A new menu item may not resonate with customers, which can mean wasted inventory and added expense. But innovation requires a willingness to take calculated risks, listen to your community, learn from the outcome, and keep evolving.

Launching The Well Withinn has been a different kind of risk. It has required me to step out in faith, trust the vision God placed on my heart, and believe there is room for my voice and my approach in the wellness space. After decades of being known primarily as a pharmacist, there is vulnerability in allowing people to see all the other dimensions of who I am and what I’m called to do.

My decision to become an UnFranchise® Owner with Market America came from a very personal place. The impact the products had on my own health and my family’s health made me want to help other families—and even service-based businesses—discover products and wellness solutions that could support their own goals. As I learned more about the business model, I also saw an opportunity to become more intentional about how I shop which allows me to earn an additional income.

The opportunity allowed me to explore entrepreneurship in a way allows me to continue doing the work I had spent decades doing while creating something that connected my passion for health, my entrepreneurial spirit, and my desire to help others.

For me, authenticity has become one of my greatest strategies. I don’t need every decision I make to be understood by everyone else; I need it to be aligned with who I am, what I value, and where I believe God is leading me.

Sometimes the greater risk is staying comfortable simply because other people are comfortable with the version of you they already know.

I’m okay with that.

For me, risk is about being willing to move when faith, wisdom, and opportunity align. I don’t believe in taking reckless risks. I believe in taking calculated steps, doing my homework, listening, learning, and trusting God enough to move forward even when I can’t see the entire path.
