Today we’d like to introduce you to Deezil Greezil.
Hi Deezil , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Seven years ago, I walked onto a comedy stage for the first time with no roadmap—just a belief that I had something to say. Since then, that journey has grown into much more than stand-up. Today I’m a comedian, author, speaker, music producer, and digital creator who believes laughter is one of the best ways to start meaningful conversations.
Like many creatives, I built my career while working a full-time job. That meant long days, late nights, and weekends on the road performing anywhere that would hand me a microphone. Every show, every video, and every setback became part of the process. I learned early that success isn’t usually one big break—it’s thousands of small decisions to keep showing up.
Along the way I’ve published books, built a growing social media audience, produced original content that reaches millions of people, and launched Digital Age Academy to teach others how to use AI to create, learn, and build businesses. Whether I’m writing political satire, creating comedy, or teaching technology, my goal is the same: help people think differently while keeping them entertained.
My comedy is rooted in observation. I enjoy finding humor in everyday life, relationships, politics, technology, and the things we’re often told we’re not supposed to laugh about. I don’t set out to tell people what to think—I want to give them something to think about.
I’m still very much on the journey. There are bigger stages to perform on, more books to write, films to create, and businesses to build. If there’s one lesson these last seven years have taught me, it’s that consistency beats talent when talent quits. So I keep creating, keep learning, and keep betting on myself.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change it because the challenges shaped who I am as a performer and entrepreneur.
Like many comedians, I spent years performing for little or no money, driving hours for short sets, and learning how to connect with audiences one show at a time. Building a career while working a full-time job meant sacrificing nights, weekends, and sleep. There were plenty of moments when quitting would have been easier than continuing.
Beyond comedy, I’ve learned that creating a brand is a completely different challenge. It’s not enough to be talented—you have to understand marketing, social media, business, content creation, and constantly adapt as technology changes. I’ve had videos go viral, pages lose monetization, algorithms change overnight, and projects that didn’t work the way I envisioned. Every setback forced me to evolve instead of giving up.
The biggest lesson has been understanding that success isn’t built on motivation—it’s built on consistency. If you keep showing up, keep learning, and keep improving, eventually the results begin to reflect the work. That’s the mindset that has carried me through every obstacle and continues to drive me today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a comedian first, but I see myself as a storyteller and entrepreneur. Whether I’m on stage, writing a book, creating videos, or producing music, my goal is always the same: make people laugh, make them think, and leave them with something they’ll remember.
Over the past seven years I’ve built a career that extends far beyond stand-up. I’m the author of political satire books, a speaker, a content creator, and the founder of Digital Age Academy, where I teach people how to use artificial intelligence to become more productive and creative. I also produce my own content, allowing me to maintain creative control from idea to final edit.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any single accomplishment—it’s building an audience by being authentic. I don’t chase trends or try to fit into a particular box. One day I might be performing stand-up, the next discussing technology, creating a documentary-style video, or helping someone publish their first book using AI. That variety reflects who I am.
I think what sets me apart is my willingness to combine entertainment with education. I believe comedy can make difficult conversations more approachable, and technology can create opportunities for people who never thought they had a chance. My work lives at the intersection of humor, curiosity, and innovation, and I’m excited to keep pushing those boundaries.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistency is more valuable than talent. Talent might get someone’s attention, but consistency is what builds a career.
I’ve also learned that no one will believe in your vision as much as you do. Early on, I spent too much time looking for validation. Eventually I realized that success comes from doing the work whether people are watching or not. Every show, every video, every book, and every conversation is another opportunity to improve.
Another lesson is that you have to embrace change. Technology, social media, and the entertainment industry evolve constantly. Instead of resisting those changes, I’ve learned to lean into them. That’s one of the reasons I became passionate about artificial intelligence—not because it replaces creativity, but because it amplifies it when used correctly.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that your greatest asset is being yourself. Audiences can tell when someone is trying to imitate another creator. The more I’ve leaned into my own perspective, humor, and voice, the more meaningful my work has become. Authenticity lasts much longer than trends.
