Today we’d like to introduce you to Frankii C.
Frankii, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started cooking from a young age of 8, cooking with my family, and learning from them, skills that had been passed down through generations. Also, I traveled a lot when I was younger, so I was able to have very unique and exciting experiences, by being exposed to different cultures. I went to a culinary school for a short time, in the UK when I was in Secondary school. This allowed me to learn some basic techniques and cooking skills, which still help me to this day. I believe it’s truly important to know what goes into our food, which motivated me more to learn what is in the food we consume and also it motivated me to create foods that I’ve never created before. I have cooked all sorts of food types, from all sorts of cultural backgrounds. I love food, the culture behind it, and the stories/ history behind it. I consider cooking an art form in its own right. Dough-Lightful Bakery focuses on clean ingredients. So I use natural oils, unbleached flour and no ingredients that have toxic oils, or synthetic ingredients, I focus more on breads and sweat treats. So my fan favorites are the focaccia breads which is an italian bread. I also create brioche, and other sweet treats, which includes cookies, cream, puffs, cinnamon rolls, and i’m only just getting started.The base of Dough-Lightful Bakery is for clean ingredients, but also enjoyable foods. I strive to create foods that bring families together, friends together, and communities together and that is the pillars that I stand for.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With anything worth it in the end, this has been a journey full of trials. This is my first business, so there were many road bumps, that I did not anticipate, nor knew the immediate resolution.
One of the biggest challenges I had faced was public speaking, this was an obstacle because, I am more of a soft spoken and quiet person, so starting a new business that requires a lot of public talking, and interactions has given me the confidence to step out of my shell, for my words to be heard.
I am thankful for the people that supported me, which includes my Friends, my community, and my family.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love solving puzzles, and helping people, I think that was the biggest draw into IT. My current position is in the Information Technology field, supporting in software, hardware related issues. I have been in this field for more than 9 years, and have consistently been known for how kindly I treat any customer that I interact with and how patient I am. It is easy to be kind and patient, when you put yourself in someone else’s place.

I would like to encourage anyone who has a love or passion for anything artistic; like music, or crafting, or art, to not be afraid to pursue what you love, but also reach out for help when needed and gain different perspectives.
