Meet Lindsay Minor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Minor.

Hi Lindsay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Cowtown Clay was founded in 2019 because there were no ceramic companies located in Fort Worth that made lasting, heirloom quality keepsakes of children. My team quickly realized that this was not just a local need but also a national need so we started our mail order kits so people across the country could order our products. We currently have a retail space in Fort Worth were we see local families and also a warehouse where we make the products for customers around the country. I am so thankful for this little business that has brought me so much joy!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anytime you work with ceramics or clay, there can be issues! There are so many steps we have to take to make your final keepsake and each one is time sensitive and fragile. We have great systems in place but, sometimes things can break!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our biggest seller is our acrylic shadowbox. These are shadowboxes that come in a variety of sizes with your child’s hand and footprints mounted on high quality Schumacher grasscloth. They are such a timeless heirloom keepsake! We love helping parents create products that they can proudly display in their homes of their most prized possessions; their children.
