Hidden Gems: Meet Alex Magee of TDCINTL / Tammany Stern PR

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Magee.

Hi Alex, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a multidisciplinary creative director, apparel designer, and video editor based out of Dallas, Texas. My journey has been built on bridging the gap between raw visual storytelling, physical fashion, and digital environments. I direct media projects and construct full apparel collections, taking ideas from raw conceptual design and editing all the way to live runway showcases like Emerge DFW and custom physical activations.

Behind the scenes, I collaborate with powerhouse teams like Creative Currency to amplify brand narratives and move the culture forward. On the production and space side, whether utilizing creative hubs like Heights District or pulling up as 2nd Assistant Director on music video sets alongside directors like Ceven Imperial, it’s all about total creative control, high-level execution, and building authentic community across fashion, film, and live events.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely never been a smooth road, but real growth doesn’t happen on an easy path. Operating as an independent creative director means wearing every single hat—designer, video editor, director, and project manager. One of the biggest struggles is balancing heavy technical demands with pure creative energy, whether that’s dealing with hardware bottlenecks in the middle of editing timelines, managing event production logistics alongside partners like Emerge DFW and Heights District, or coordinating set execution under strict deadlines. You’re constantly navigating supply chain friction, tight turnarounds, and unexpected system setbacks while trying to keep the aesthetic standard sky-high. Learning how to pivot instantly, troubleshoot under pressure, and maintain output quality through every bottleneck has been the toughest—and most rewarding—part of the grind.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TDCINTL is my personal creative house and vision operating at the intersection of streetwear design, high-end visual direction, video production, and culture-driven live events. As an independent creative director, I specialize in bringing complex concepts to life—from raw conceptual apparel drops and video production all the way to live runway showcases.
To expand my reach and drive real impact, I am officially joining the team at Tammany Stern PR. In this position, I’m stepping heavily into the non-profit marketing space, focusing on mission-driven storytelling, community development campaigns, and strategic outreach. What sets my approach apart is the ability to fuse authentic street culture, visual storytelling, and high-level PR strategies to give non-profits and community-focused initiatives a real, resonant voice. My primary focus right now is pushing this work forward with Tammany Stern PR, with the ultimate goal to launch TDCINTL next as my primary umbrella company.
