Meet Asmaou Malone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asmaou Malone.

Hi Asmaou, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2018 I decided to have a business, I called it Bougie Bags & More. To move forward with it, I applied for my sales tax permit with the states, from there I purchased my first inventory. I bought purses, sunglasses, bible covers, necklaces sets…. Later in I added authentic clothes, purses, shoes, jewelry from Senegal, West Africa.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, it was not hard with social media, friends, and colleagues, Bougie Bags & More took off.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a teacher, currently I am serving Special Needs students in Dallas ISD. Teaching is a passion and I have been waking up for the last 15 years going to what I call my second home where I get to mold young minds.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The characteristic that I feel is most important for my success is “ I don’t sell anything that I would not wear or use myself “.
