Hidden Gems: Meet Zachary Wilson of Elite Talent Advisors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zachary Wilson.

Zachary Wilson

Hi Zachary, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
If I had to describe my story, I’d say it was handcrafted—woven together by God. I don’t have a textbook explanation for how I got here; I only know that even throughout the most traumatic, shifting seasons of my life, God had His hand on my back.

I’m a Dallas Suburb guy at heart. My childhood was a nomadic experience, moving all around the DFW metroplex with my eight siblings. It was messy, it was blended, and it was chaotic, but it was also where I found my first love: movement. Between ages five and 17, I lived in football pads, basketball jerseys, and, secretly, in the air. I taught myself to tumble and stunt long before I ever stepped into cheerleading and the competitive mat.

My world shifted the day I walked into a Wylie Elite All-Stars gym. It was a completely different level of athleticism than school cheer—and for the first time, I felt like my world was being made new.

But true grit is tested when you have everything to lose. My senior year of high school, my family was facing foreclosure. When they had to move to Mesquite, 45 minutes away, I made the hardest, most defining decision of my life: I stayed behind. I walked up to my coach, Kristy Von Runnen, and asked if I could live with her family of five. She didn’t hesitate. She said yes, and in that moment, I found my ‘chosen family.’ They didn’t just give me a roof; they showed me what the love of Jesus actually looks like in practice. That support system was the anchor that allowed me to finish high school, cheer through college at SMU, and work through every single step of being a young adult and disciple.

Post-graduation, I was navigating the uncertainty of 2020 when a door cracked open. Through Kristy’s niece, I was introduced to talent management. That initial exposure felt like a lightbulb going off—I realized I had a natural aptitude for the business side of influence.

I took that fire, combined it with the discipline, knowledge, consistency, focus, I learned as an athlete, and in 2023, I launched Elite Talent Advisors.

Today, that’s where I live. We’re not just managing talent; we’re curating talent and building icons. My path wasn’t a straight line, but every struggle was a lesson, and every closed door was just God redirecting me toward this vision. I’m proud of the hustle, I’m grateful for the grace, and I’m just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle was the constant instability of my early years. I grew up in a blended, chaotic environment, living in fight or flight mode , moving constantly across the DFW metroplex. It forces you to grow up fast, but it also strips away your sense of security and childhood. The true breaking point—and the moment I had to choose who I was going to be—was during my senior year of high school. Our home was being foreclosed on. My family had to move 45 minutes away to Mesquite, and I was faced with a choice: follow the path of least resistance or fight for the future I envisioned for myself in Wylie.

I chose to fight.

I asked my coach, Kristy Von Runnen, to take me in. That wasn’t just a move; it was an act of surrender and radical faith. That transition, and the love I found with that chosen family, changed everything. They showed me what the love of Jesus looks like in practice: it’s not just words; it’s sacrifice, it’s stability, and it’s being there when the world feels like it’s ending.

That season taught me a lesson I carry into business every single day: serve and provide a place for people to feel accepted and loved.

That theme of “finding a way” continued through college. I was working full, cheering, building a college ministry, and self-funding my education at SMU, and performing at the highest athletic levels. I didn’t have a safety net, so I became my own. When I graduated and entered the world of Talent Management in 2020—right in the middle of a global pandemic—I knew I was being called to something bigger. I didn’t have the luxury of failing, but more importantly, the guidance of the Lord. I didn’t just survive those struggles; I weaponized them.

Every moment of uncertainty I faced is exactly why I built Elite Talent Advisors. I know what it’s like to build from the ground up, to curate influence when you have nothing, and to turn a vision into a reality. That’s why we’re building icons—because I know exactly what it takes to be one.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Elite Talent Advisors ?
The Vision: Elite Talent Advisors Elite Talent Advisors is where success takes center stage. It’s when talent recognizes their true potential and are molded to take off. We are a boutique talent management company operating across Texas, New York, and Los Angeles, dedicated to curating talent and building icons.

We don’t just “manage” talent—we launch careers. Our mission is to take individuals who have the raw potential and the drive to win, and provide the strategy, resources, discipline, and industry navigation required to transform them into lasting cultural figures.

What Sets Us Apart?

In an industry that is often superficial and fickle, we operate with a completely different ethos. What sets Elite Talent Advisors apart is a two-fold approach:

* A Servant-Hearted Mindset: I don’t manage talent like a corporate suit; I manage them like a mentor/coach. We understand the brands are looking to grow, and so are we. With the repetition, creativity, and strategy it takes to get the top. We bring that same energy to every deal, every negotiation, and every brand partnership to make sure everyone is successful.

* A Foundation of Integrity: Because my own life was built on faith and radical resilience, I don’t cut corners. We are known for a level of transparency and loyalty that is rare in this industry. We believe that success is empty if it doesn’t have a soul, so we work with talent who want to do more than just chase trends—they want to build a legacy.

What We Are Most Proud Of
I am most proud of our “Icon-First” philosophy. Many agencies are focused on the immediate payout or the fleeting viral moment. We are proud of our ability to cultivate longevity. When a client signs with Elite, they are entering a partnership that values their brand equity over a quick check. We are curating an ecosystem where success isn’t just something that happens to our talent—it’s something we actively build, nurture, and protect.

What I Want the Readers to Know
I want the world to know that Elite Talent Advisors is a standard, not just a service. We are not here to follow the industry; we are here to elevate it. We believe that when you combine a God-given vision with relentless, work-ethic-driven execution, you don’t just get talent—you get icons.

Whether you are a creator looking for a home that understands your worth, or a brand looking for a partner who understands the nuance of modern influence, you’re looking for someone who has the vision to see where the market is going, not just where it’s been. We are the curators of that vision. We are building the future, and we are just getting started.

Any big plans?
What are your plans for the future? Honestly? I’ve learned that a ‘five-year plan’ can’t compete with a God-given vision. My plan is simply to stay in lockstep with where the Lord is leading me. I’ve found that when I stop forcing outcomes and start following His guidance, doors open that I couldn’t have even imagined.

But while my feet are planted in faith, my eyes are on the future of this industry.
Right now, we are orchestrating a major shift at Elite Talent Advisors. I am moving from ‘influencers’ to creative talent who are turning over numbers beyond what brands are seeing. With that creative talent, I want to show the behind the scenes and work beyond the ‘brand deal’ hamster wheel. We are building longevity. My vision is to ensure that every single one of my creators becomes a true authority in their space—not just through social posts, but through long-form content.

My five year plan would be to launch YouTube series for my roster—content that is aspirational, educational, and genuinely entertaining. The goal is to move my talent away from relying solely on one-off brand partnerships and toward generating consistent, sustainable ad revenue. By positioning them as experts in their specific niches, we aren’t just building influencers; we are building media platforms.
We’re giving them the infrastructure to own their audience and their income. I want my talent to be able to focus on one thing: creating. I’ll handle the strategy, the platform, and the revenue growth. We aren’t here to play the game; we are here to change the rules of how talent is valued.
