Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has definitely been one of growth, creativity, and learning to believe in myself. Interestingly, my journey didn’t start in the beauty industry. In high school, I was involved in the finance field, and I really enjoyed it. One of the experiences that stood out to me most was my high school internship at Capital One’s headquarters, where I got an early introduction to the corporate world and developed an appreciation for business, finance, and the opportunities that come with building a career.
As I got older, I found myself drawn to the beauty industry and loved the idea of creating something that was truly my own. I started my journey in the beauty industry as a lash artist, and over time, my passion grew beyond simply providing services.
As I continued working in the industry, I began to recognize the need for quality, accessible lash products and supplies. That eventually led me to start building my own businesses and brands, including my lash supply business. Becoming an entrepreneur has allowed me to combine my love for beauty, creativity, and connecting with others, while also using many of the business skills and lessons I developed earlier in my life.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building something from the ground up comes with many challenges, lessons, and moments where you have to step outside of your comfort zone. I’ve had to learn how to wear many different hats—from creating content and marketing my products to managing customers and making important business decisions.
Today, I’m continuing to grow both personally and professionally. What started as a passion for beauty has evolved into something much bigger for me. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I also feel like I’m still at the beginning of my journey. My goal is to continue building brands and creating opportunities that not only represent me and my creativity but also inspire and support other women in the beauty industry.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. My journey has been shaped by both personal loss and the challenges that come with building something from the ground up. In late 2017, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Then, in 2018, my family experienced another heartbreaking loss when my sister passed away. Those experiences changed me and gave me a completely different perspective on life.
More recently, my dad’s cancer returned, and this past August, he passed away. Losing both my sister and my father has been some of the most difficult experiences of my life, and there have been moments when navigating grief while also trying to continue pursuing my goals felt incredibly overwhelming.
At the same time, those experiences have taught me how important it is to appreciate life, the people we love, and the opportunities we are given. They have also taught me resilience. I’ve learned that life doesn’t always go according to plan, and sometimes you have to keep moving forward even during the most difficult seasons of your life.
Building my businesses and pursuing my passions hasn’t always been easy either. There have been financial challenges, setbacks, moments of uncertainty, and times when I questioned myself. But every challenge has taught me something and helped shape the person and entrepreneur I am today. I’m still navigating my journey and healing, but I’m proud that through everything, I’ve continued to find the strength to keep going.

Alongside Tejas Lash Supply, I am also the owner of Guera Lashes, where my journey in the beauty industry originally began. Guera Lashes represents my experience as a lash artist and my passion for helping clients feel confident and beautiful.
