Rising Stars: Meet Tamir & Yasmeen Ahmad of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamir & Yasmeen Ahmad.

Hi Tamir & Yasmeen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Eyeconic Productions really started from a shared love for storytelling, photography, and film. As a husband-and-wife team, we wanted to create something together that felt personal to us while also giving couples an experience that was different from the traditional wedding photo and video approach.

In the beginning, we were simply focused on improving our craft, building our portfolio, and saying yes to opportunities that allowed us to grow. Over time, those small opportunities turned into referrals, repeat clients, and people finding our work through social media. What started locally in Dallas quickly grew into photographing and filming weddings, engagements, and celebrations for couples from different cultures and backgrounds, both in Texas and beyond. We’re incredibly grateful to God for giving us the creativity, talent, and eye to do what we do. We never take that for granted, and we truly feel blessed to be able to turn something we love into a career while capturing some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives.

A big part of our growth has come from developing a style that feels like us. We love imagery that is cinematic, romantic, editorial, and timeless, but we also care deeply about the candid moments that happen naturally throughout a wedding day. Our goal has always been for our couples to look back at their photos and films years from now and not only remember what everything looked like, but remember how it felt.

Today, Eyeconic Productions has grown into a full-service photography and videography company serving Dallas-Fort Worth and traveling for couples across the country. We’re incredibly grateful for how far we’ve come, but we still feel like we’re only getting started. Our focus now is continuing to evolve creatively, travel more, work with amazing people, and build Eyeconic into a brand that people immediately recognize for both the work and the experience we provide.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like most small businesses, there have been plenty of growing pains along the way.

One of the biggest challenges was learning that being talented creatively and running a successful business are two completely different things. We had to learn everything from pricing and contracts to marketing, client communication, managing expectations, and knowing the value of our work. There were definitely moments where we underpriced ourselves, took on more than we should have, or learned certain lessons the hard way.

Another challenge has been the uncertainty that comes with owning a creative business. There are busy seasons where everything feels like it’s moving incredibly fast, and there are slower periods where you start questioning yourself and wondering what you need to do differently. Staying consistent through both has taught us a lot about patience, discipline, and trusting the process.

Being a husband-and-wife team also means learning how to balance marriage and business. We spend a lot of time together creating, traveling, editing, planning, and making decisions, so we’ve had to learn how to understand each other’s strengths and work together without allowing the business to consume everything.

At the same time, every challenge has played a part in shaping Eyeconic into what it is today. We’re grateful for the lessons, the people who trusted us early on, and especially grateful to God for continuing to open doors for us. Looking back, even some of the difficult moments ended up pushing us to become better creatives, better business owners, and a stronger team.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Eyeconic Productions, we specialize in photography and videography for weddings, engagements, Nikkahs, cultural celebrations, and couples who want their story captured in a way that feels cinematic, timeless, and personal.

Something a lot of people may not know is that both of us were already working in the photo and video space for about 10 years before we got married. We each developed our own creative eye, experience, and approach to storytelling long before Eyeconic became what it is today. After getting married, we decided to combine our strengths and build something together, and we’ve now been growing Eyeconic Productions as a husband-and-wife duo for a little over two years.

We’re especially known for blending an editorial and cinematic style with genuine, candid moments. We love creating images that feel polished enough to belong in a magazine, while still capturing the emotion, energy, and little in-between moments that make each couple’s story unique. Because we handle both photography and videography together, we’re also able to create a very cohesive experience from beginning to end.

What sets us apart most is probably the way we work together. We know each other’s creative instincts, we understand each other without needing to say much during a wedding day, and we each notice different things. That allows us to tell the same story from two different perspectives while still creating one consistent final vision.

What we’re most proud of is the trust our clients place in us. These are once-in-a-lifetime moments, and knowing that people choose us to preserve them means a lot. We’re proud of the growth of Eyeconic, the relationships we’ve built, and the fact that after more than a decade in this industry, we still genuinely love creating and continue pushing ourselves to get better with every story we capture.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
We wouldn’t necessarily describe it as luck. We truly believe a lot of where we are today has come from God’s blessings, timing, and the opportunities He has placed in front of us.

There have definitely been moments where the right client found us at the right time, one wedding led to several referrals, or an opportunity came our way that we could have never planned for ourselves. We’re incredibly grateful for those moments, but we also believe that opportunities only take you so far. We’ve had to put in the work, stay consistent, continue improving our craft, and make the most of every door that has opened for us.

There have also been times when things didn’t work out the way we wanted them to— looking back, some of those moments ended up redirecting us toward something better or teaching us something we needed to learn.

So for us, it has been less about good or bad luck and more about trusting God’s timing, being grateful for what comes our way, and continuing to work toward what we want for Eyeconic Productions.
