Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyerrah Savage.
Hi Cyerrah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a genuine passion for makeup and the way it can completely transform how someone feels about themselves. I’ve always loved that moment when you look in the mirror after getting your makeup done and instantly feel more confident—like you’re that girl and nothing can stop you.
In 2020, I experienced the loss of two people who were very dear to me, back-to-back. That season of my life reminded me how precious time is and pushed me to take my passion and my business more seriously. Later, becoming a mother gave me an even greater purpose. I realized that I wasn’t only building something for myself anymore—I wanted to create stability, opportunity, and a legacy for my son.
Since then, I’ve continued pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and allowing my business to grow with me. What started with my love for makeup has expanded into makeup education, brow tinting, lash cluster services, and so much more. I’m now doing things I once never imagined I would be doing, and I’m incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come. I know this is still only the beginning.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting and growing a business comes with challenges, especially financially. In the beginning, there are times when you’re investing much more into your business than you’re bringing in. I was fortunate to build a strong clientele early on in Dallas, but that didn’t eliminate the challenges that come with entrepreneurship.
I’ve learned that some of the biggest struggles aren’t always the obvious ones. Sometimes it’s simply staying consistent, showing up on social media, managing your time, and finding the energy to keep going. Being a solopreneur is not for the weak—you are the marketing department, customer service, content creator, administrator, and service provider all at once.
There have been moments when I’ve had to set everything aside, pray, regroup, and trust that the work I’m putting in will eventually produce results. One thing this journey has taught me is that progress doesn’t always require hours every day. Some days you may only have five or ten minutes to pour into your business, while other days you may have three hours. What matters is continuing to show up. I truly believe that consistency, faith, and dedication will eventually allow you to see the fruits of your labor.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a professional makeup artist first and foremost, and makeup will always be the heart of my business. I specialize in everything from natural and soft glam to full and creative glam. Over time, I’ve also expanded my services to include lash clusters and brow tinting, which has allowed me to create more of a one-stop beauty experience for my clients.
That expansion is actually one of the things I’m most proud of. I’ve been able to grow beyond makeup without losing what my brand was originally built on. My clients can come to me for their makeup, lashes, and brows instead of having to book with several different beauty professionals to complete their look.
What I believe truly sets me apart, though, is the experience I provide. I don’t want my clients to feel like they’re just another appointment that needs to be rushed in and out of my chair. I consider beauty a luxury service, and I want the entire experience to feel that way. I want you to come in, get comfortable, sip a glass of wine, relax, and enjoy being taken care of.
Of course, luxury doesn’t mean your appointment needs to take three hours, but it does mean you should feel like your time, comfort, and experience matter. My goal is for every woman who sits in my chair to leave looking beautiful, feeling confident, and already looking forward to coming back. That experience is just as important to me as the finished look.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Some of my favorite childhood memories come from growing up in the country in Tennessee and the time I spent with my family. My grandparents on my dad’s side, along with my grandmother on my mom’s side, were all a huge part of my life and upbringing.
I spent so much time with my grandparents on my dad’s side. I spent my summers with them, they picked me up from school, and Sundays after church usually meant getting together for a family dinner. My grandmother on my mom’s side was just as important in my life. I lived with her, and she was there for me through so many parts of my childhood. I feel incredibly blessed to have grown up surrounded by grandparents who were so present and loving.
I also loved the simplicity of growing up in the country. I wasn’t always surrounded by technology or sitting in front of a screen. I was outside riding my bike, playing in the creek, exploring, and just enjoying being a kid. I had a true country upbringing, and it was honestly a blast.
Now that my grandparents on my dad’s side are no longer here, I cherish those memories even more. I’m also extremely grateful to still have my grandmother on my mom’s side here, alive and well. Looking back, I realize just how special it was to have that kind of childhood and that much love around me.
That upbringing helped shape the woman I am today. It gave me my love for family, my nurturing side, and an appreciation for being present and enjoying the little things in life. Those are values I hope to continue passing down through my own family, and one day, I hope I can be that same kind of loving and present grandparent to my grandchildren.
