Meet Eddie Rhodman of Destined for Success Management

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Rhodman.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As I come from an entrepreneurial background. I watched my father and his family be successful at entrepreneurship, which led me to start working at the early age of just 11 years old. I always knew that I had a God-given talent for business-concentrated endeavors. As a career, I wanted to be able to work with athletes in a different way that would help them holistically.

After a vast stint of networking around the country and building relationships, my company Destined for Success Management, LLC was born in 2004. My firm’s mission is to provide inventive and resolute marketing, branding and public relations services to clients that enhances their personal brands, products, businesses and organizations. We create awareness and brand identity for others to support who they are and what they do, which creates the opportunity for them to have brand longevity and lasting success in their pursuits.

Moving forward my firm will be pioneering in our consulting services to take our clientele to the next level in their professions and industries. We aim to be ranked as a top-tier international firm sought after by organizations, celebrities, athletes, influencers, executives, media and tech companies for our consulting capabilities, that connect the dots across genres and industries to get brands to reach the optimal levels success they are destined for.

Has it been a smooth road?
No. Haters! lol. People who don’t want to see you win and intentionally trying to halt your success.

I am someone who carries myself with a certain level of confidence, but when you work in a competitive and superficial industry where the majority of people don’t know who they are most of the time, confidence can be intimidating to them and to some people, threatening.

Unfortunately, there is a mentality that there can “only be one” or “a chosen few”. It is not supported when your passion is to do something different and to be a great man in the community. With that said, there is an immense opposition that comes with being talented, as well as when you are doing something different in a space where what you do was said to be impossible.

As a result, I let my work speak for itself and let God speak for my work. This way, I can stand on the rest assurance that no matter what people do or say in regards to me, that my work will make room for me. I know from experience that the results of my work produce something that people cannot say no to.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Destined for Success Management LLC (D4SM) story. Tell us more about the business.

For me, its just not business I care about my clients. For me, it is important who I work and I allow to be apart of my company.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
Unfortunately, there is a mentality that there can “only be one” or “a chosen few” in the industry. It is not supported when your passion is to do something different and to be a great man or woman in the community. With that said, there is an immense opposition in the industry that comes with being talented, as well as when you are doing something different in a space where what you do was said to be impossible.

Thus over the next 5-10 years those who are willing to walk alone are bound for greatness, and sometimes it is the great ones who have to walk alone. Obviously, in this culture, everyone is acting as a clone no on one wants to be an individual. Because we are a firm in public relations and brand management people are going to have hire firms like mine to get booked.

For example, social media has made it easy for basically someone who would be a client to do these on their own, as if they don’t need a public relations firm or manager. That is not the case anymore, Instagram and Facebook has caught up. Social media is not about being social anymore it is a business.

On the flipside of that “Talent” is going to want to work with us too. Say a water company offers a person free water for a year to post on social media, But another company was willing to pay them a million dollars a year for their water. Now their not because one individual wanted to stunt. Our job is to be the broker and weigh the best opportunities for them.

From my experience, I have learned that there are many shifts, changes and trends on the horizon especially when one may not know how to mentor you or help you develop your talent because your attributes may be really unique that it’s hard to cultivate something that’s so different. So do not be fearful of creating your own lane, just because you may be alone on your journey. It really is okay.

Always be willing to learn, network and support others. You never know who you are meeting and by doing these three things how it will come back to support you in the future. Work hard, stay humble. Always being willing to be outside of the box, which never allowed me to be in the confines of a “comfort zone”. For example, I have never gone back home when things have gotten tough, which many people do. I never allowed myself to get into a place of being comfortable in order to take the pressure off of me to succeed.

Also, no matter what has come my way to try to bring me down and even with all the no’s I have gotten on my pursuit to success, I have never allowed myself to stop being a thinker. When you face extreme opposition like I have, it can be easy to shut down. But when you stop thinking (of new ideas), that means you have given up on your dream, your purpose and your passion. I continue to keep thinking even when something hasn’t worked. I never let my brain shut down, because for me, once I stop thinking, I know I’ll stop working and stop moving.
