Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Georgeff.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tim. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a musician, one often ends up in many different destinations from the one they chose to begin with. My career has been the same for me. I studied to be a classical pianist from age four to twenty-four, then had a freak accident derail those ambitions and push me in a different direction. Restaurants, lounges, bars, honkytonks, theaters, churches, stadiums, and arenas – there isn’t a type of venue I haven’t tried. Classical, pop, rock, country, Latin, gospel; solo, dueling, duos, trios, bands, I never would have imagined all the different types of music would define my career. As a musician, or any type of creative or artist for that matter, we need to be ready to take on whatever is placed in front of us. As a young boy growing up in rural Michigan, I never dreamed I would be flown all over the world to play music for a living.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
While working on my Master’s Degree in classical piano performance at TCU I suffered a very traumatic injury to my left hand, severing all the tendons in my ring finger, and nearly cutting the entire finger off between the first and second knuckle. An amazing team of doctors at the Cleveland clinic were able to repair my finger and hand, and along with the dedicated therapists and care-givers, I was able to regain most of the motor skill and feeling that I had before the accident. Classical music is so highly competitive, even being at 99% changed my ability to compete, practice, and sustain my studies and career in that direction. I started exploring other options at that point and a major directional shift ensued; however, I wouldn’t change that journey at all as my career flourished from the change more than ever.

The Texas Pianoman brand has been a recent development that I started molding several years ago. With marketing playing such a crucial key in today’s entertainment market, having a brand is not just a luxury, but a necessity to find success. After spending fifteen years playing in bands of all different types and levels, a solo/dueling component of my performances have emerged into a show that is high energy, fun, unique, and taken on an identity of its own. Now you can find me in solo piano bars, dueling bars, and venues of all sorts including corporate parties and weddings bringing customized entertainment to people seeking the ultimate sensory experience. What sets my brand apart even further is top end professional gear, the newest technology, responsiveness unparalleled in the entertainment industry, and the real trick – the ability to put a grand piano anywhere you desire and wow clients and guests in ways never thought possible. I have tapped into an international network of piano superstars that partner with me on most shows, bringing a diverse once in a lifetime experience every time I play and sing a note.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
2018 has already been a banner year, with performances from coast to coast. Business is booming and I’ve recently picked up several large casino contracts. I’ve also partnered with a world class pianist and Guinness world record holder, Tim Buie, bringing our unique brand of entertainment to venues all over the South and Southwest. The Texas Pianoman brand continues to gather steam and I’m excited to be booking piano clubs, cruise ships, casinos, and private parties well into 2021 already.
