Meet Cammie Petty Palmer of Beautiful Event Rentals in Carrollton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cammie Petty Palmer.

Cammie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been in the wedding industry since I graduated High School 8 years ago. I fell in love with events and the business and design of them. I am the creative director for my company Beautiful Event Rentals and have the vision for the creative direction of the company. When I started out in weddings I loved the design and logistics so of course I started with wedding planning. After doing that for about 3 years or so, I learned that I really loved the design of events more than the finding vendors, reading contracts, matchmaking, and other duties that come along with planning. In 2014 I decided to change gears and move in a direction of event design with rentals. When we started it was in the time of vintage and rustic (Gah, I don’t love those words anymore!!) and quickly looked at the market and wanted to do something that not everyone else was doing. I saw a void that we wanted to fill and we wanted to be the best at it. As we started adding pieces, we found our love for Midcentury Modern with a Clean Boho vibe was where we were headed. As our pieces grew, so has our staff. I have a great team that is just as passionate about beautiful events as I am and we are always planning how to use our items differently!

Our mission is to pull together beautiful items while maintaining the unique and specialty design while forming lasting relationships with those in our lives that strive to push us to the next level of authenticity.

Has it been a smooth road?
I think if a company has a smooth road, you’re either on your way to a bump or have been very lucky! But, I think every company needs some growing pains which come in different forms. We have crossed many different hurdles such as changes in staff, financial, and product. I don’t love to go into the details of those but I think it is good to reflect on some of the struggles we’ve had because it reminds me that we’ve gone through some tough times that have molded us into the company we stand for.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I run a boutique rental business in DFW. We consider it “boutique” in the sense that we have unique finds that you won’t find at other rental companies. We are a company that carries unique, one-of-a-kind pieces like none other. We love to add new sofas, tables, and decor accents that can pair perfectly with our other items. Unlike your typical rental companies, we have decor pieces that are curated to ensure your event has a special touch of unique and you!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Dallas in general is full of lots of opportunity and with our expanding city there’s always room for growth!
