Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevor & Moni Rich.
Trevor started off as a film major at Baylor University, and then interned at Fox Sports Network and the Dallas Mavericks in the video department. Trevor started teaching, and saved up the money to purchase the equipment he needed to start a photo and video company. Little by little his company got recognition and received more business. After meeting his girlfriend Moni, he thought he could teach her how to do videography and photography. With Moni’s expertise in social media and customer relations, Just Like A Movie has increased its number of weddings and stands out even more with their services. Just Like A Movie is the combination of love and creativity that is wedding photography and videography. We always try to create something and different without highlight reels which customers seem to be so drawn to. Our goal is to make it look Just Like A Movie and evoke emotions to that of the ones felt at the day of the wedding or greater.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been uphill since the start. We have definitely paid our dues to get to where we are. We are always good at what we did, but it was not until Moni came along and gave the direction that she provides to make us great. At times, we would go awhile without any leads due to lack of funds in advertising due to Trevor being a teacher, but our last surge of bookings we were able to get our name out there more, and with Moni’s gift in marketing and social media we were able to achieve more notice in DFW with our work. We are always looking at ways we can become better and improve what we do. The ceiling is constantly growing while we are consistently reaching.

Just Like A Movie was originally started as videography business, but later incorporated in photography as well.
We specialize in photography and videography for weddings in the DFW area.
We are most proud of the Wedding Wire Couples’ Choice Award this part year.
What sets us apart from the rest, we are always willing to accommodate to peoples’ budget; we are not sharks. Our wedding highlight reels feel like a real music video of a wedding.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I was suggest to be open to doing a few free gigs. Starting out, no one really knows who you are what your product looks like. When it comes to easy projects, try giving it a free swing. It builds great clientele and gets your name out. In this area, there are many people starting their own businesses there are plenty of small projects to builds your portfolio.
