Meet Marty McDonald of Boss Women Who Brunch in Downtown Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marty McDonald.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Marty. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Have you ever sat in your cube thinking how do I get a promotion, I really want to get a raise, will I ever be like the CMO I aspire?

Or you could be the girl sitting in that same cube thinking, “how do I monetize my passion, is my side hustle possible to be my full-time gig?”

Well if you have ever had of those thoughts you are not alone. I was there with ya sitting at my corporate gig thinking how do I move from manager to director? How can I turn my passion into my full- time hustle, why doesn’t anyone look like me, sound like me or came from where I came from, do I have imposter syndrome, and why can’t anyone relate to my issues?!?

This is exactly why I created Boss Women Who Brunch to help the millennial woman believe in their purpose, passions and dig deep to find their gifts.

We connect with 2 women: the millennial corporate gal and the side hustler. We show her boss women who have moved the ranks in corporate and are sitting at the table and we boss women who have created and established successful businesses. These women are waiting to invite our community to the table and pour into them.

Ultimately, Boss Women Who Brunch was created to help connect women together who want more. Because we ALL need Community. Community is the blueprint for women to achieve more.

Yeah, we can do it on our own, but the ride is better when you have a boss woman cheering you on and rooting for you! We are focused on helping women create a tribe of like-minded BOSS WOMEN in their life through experiential events. Plus, who doesn’t love talking about world domination in a cute outfit and over a cocktail? We encourage our community to believe in the power of herself, create meaningful connections, but most importantly go confidently in the direction of her dreams!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is challenging and rewarding all at the same time. You are now in control of your weekly paycheck, insurance and day to day activity. Not something I was completely aware of before I took my big leap from corporate to pursue my passion project.

Boss Women Who Brunch – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Marty created BWWB in 2016 as a personal need to connect with women who desired more. She wanted to be around women who desired more from there 9-5 jobs. After great success from the first brunch in May 2016, she knew there was a need for women to collaborate together. Marty established the foundation of BWWB as a
brand from each brunch and soon knew this was not just a social organization but an opportunity to help women cultivate the life they desired.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment is taking a risk out on myself and believing in what I can cultivate and create to connect other women together.
