Thanks for sharing your story with us Latrice. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started Super Bowl 2018 when the idea of starting a business was planted in my head. I’ve been dipping and decorating strawberries for years but only for friends, family and myself. Sometime around the final days of February I dove head first into Dipped and have been pushing forward ever since.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In my long four months of business (lol), everything has run fairly smoothly. The entire process has been a learning experience. I’ve done a lot of research and will continue to do so to make myself and my products the best,
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Dipped DFW – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Dipped is a custom edible treats business. The name “Dipped” is because that’s exactly what I do, dip fruit in chocolate! I specialize in strawberries but also dip pineapples, apples, grapes, bananas, rice crispies, pretzels, etc. Dipped has additional products like cheesecake stuffed strawberries, peanut butter stuffed chocolate cups and peppermint choco bites.
I am proud of the growth I’ve experienced in just a few months of business. What makes Dipped different from others is that everything is customizable. The customer can get whatever they’d like (within reason of course). I’ve been asked why someone should choose Dipped over Edible Arrangements or Shari’s and the answer is CUSTOMIZATION! When you go to websites like theirs, you have to choose from what is available. The customer doesn’t get to say they want certain colors or designs or prints.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Growth! I enjoy creating awesome desserts for people. I want to be able to reach more people and have people think of Dipped when planning an event in the DFW area.
