Thanks for sharing your story with us Camille. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Earlier this year I was at a point in my life where I was struggling to find my self-confidence. I started to play in my makeup and it became very therapeutic for me. I would go out and people would constantly tell me how beautiful my makeup looked. This continued to be a continuous thing but, I really didn’t really think about being a makeup artist. But, I started to see how confident it made me feel and I started to become passionate about it. Thinking I could possibly have a hidden talent I had no idea I had. And then about three months ago a special person in my life witnessed me doing my makeup and enjoying the music I was listening to. He gave me the speech about how I looked good without makeup but, he said he thought I would be a great makeup artist. I didn’t want to do this at first because there is so much competition out there. But, I got confirmation many times and I just felt like it was God telling me this was my calling. For a week I prayed about it. By the end of the week I was at NYX Cosmetics buying my first makeup kit. From that day on I began investing in my craft and I have been filling it up with tons of great makeup brands since then. I also ordered business cards and started showing off my makeup on social media. I invested time and money into my business before I even had one client. I believed that if I was going to do this I had to claim it. Once I got my business cards it took off from there. My first few clients were friends and family. Then people started hearing about me through word of mouth and before I knew it within the first month I was booked every weekend. I have been doing this officially three months now and I truly love helping people feel beautiful by enhancing their beauty. I get to show off my creative side and it’s helped me to build self-confidence again.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In the beginning I doubted myself because I compared myself to other makeup artist. I went back and forth and was not sure if I was meant for this. But, I realized that my way of doing makeup was not going to be like other artists. And that greatness is not developed overnight. It took time, practice and effort to perfect my talent. If I would’ve continued to be discouraged I would have never saw what I could accomplish.

I am Flawless with Cammy a Mobile Makeup Artist in the DFW area. I specialize in enhancing all shades of beauty. I am proud of how I put smiles on my client’s faces once they have a finished look. The confidence they show is amazing! What sets me apart from others is that I want to only enhance natural beauty, not changing the way you look but enhancing the beauty that is YOU!

First off, God played a big role because without him I would not be where I am today. My mom Michelle supported me from the beginning just by continuing to encourage me to never give up. Charles G. my best friend who helped me stay focused and motivated. He gave me lots of marketing tips, ideas and still does to this day. Chinem M. the owner of Bleu Fotos who has believed in me from the beginning. He has contributed by providing me with a logo and photos. Our collab is awesome!
