Growing up I witnessed my parents begin their entrepreneurship and hold down 3 businesses. I knew from the age of 18 that I wanted to have my own business and become an entrepreneur. I was first introduced to Paparazzi about 1.5 years ago by a college friend. I did my research on Paparazzi and saw all of the BLING! I watched how consultants were making money daily. No fluff and no trumped-up number, just selling $5 jewelry. Before I knew it, I asked her a million questions for the next couple days but did not have the money to start and still pay my bills. I prayed about it, took a leap of faith and decided to start my journey despite the serious lack of funds from my paycheck that week. The rest is all GOD because somehow I was not only able to purchase my kit and order business cards, but all of the bills got paid. Fast-forward to now, I have built an amazing team and a steady income. I was able to build my business, my brand while working under the umbrella of Paparazzi as an Independent Consultant. I can finally say: I AM MY OWN BOSS. I have something I can call my own. When something belongs to you, you tend to care for it more and go above and beyond. The biggest blessing thus far is I am in the process of opening up my own jewelry store. Being an entrepreneur opens your perspective in many ways. It has been an opportunity to learn more about myself, stretch my limits, step outside of my comfort zone, and have a greater responsibility in prioritizing, finances, etc.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When being an entrepreneur we all have our obstacles and challenges. However, it’s how we overcome them that is important. Even though I’ve faced challenges in growing my business, customers, communication, training and more, it’s been a growing process. Learning from our mistakes and failures and implementing new strategies is crucial.
Paparazzi Accessories – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am an Independent Consultant for Paparazzi. Paparazzi is a home based business that sells $5 costume jewelry and accessories. Two sisters opened Paparazzi in December 2010 in Utah. Their goal and mission is to bring self-confidence, empowerment and independence to women and families all over the world. Paparazzi offers women an affordable option to be fashionable and feel great. Paparazzi also offers a real home-based business opportunity- independent of “recruiting” friends and neighbors. There are almost 200,000 Paparazzi consultants nationwide so there is still an opportunity for company growth. Paparazzi consultants are able to carry inventory, host home parties, basket parties, invite associates, have fun, and sell their inventory directly to the customer. Also, they offer a Paparazzi Compensation Plan which gives each Consultant the ability to build a long-term residual income, giving them a potential for real independence. Paparazzi is like no other company out there. Each consultant purchases their own personal inventory from Paparazzi. Since each consultant ha their own inventory, each party is going to be different. There is no print catalog, Paparazzi’s inventory offered to consultants and their customers changes several time a month!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far was hitting my first milestone with the company. I received my first promotion as Director with Paparazzi in early 2018.
