Meet Renee Hart of Party Time Texas in Plano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Hart.

Renee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My ongoing joke is that my career as an Event Planner started when I was 14, hosting birthday parties at White Rock Skate. Seriously though, I was in the corporate world after I graduated from The University of North Texas. We actually used Party Time as the entertainment for our events. After learning more about Party Time, I knew my passion was to create different types of events for various sized groups. I was open to the possibility that no two days would be the same. I was hired on October 21, 2008, in the middle of crazy busy season. One of my very first events I planned, coordinated, and managed was the Baylor Plano employee picnic in May 2009. Little did I know, Baylor would be a major part of my personal and professional journey. In August 2018, I was named Baylor Scott and White Health Event Planner for Tenure Awards for the North Texas and Central Texas Regions. Just two short days after accepting the phenomenal offer with Baylor, I was honored to become the exclusive entertainment specialist to manage The Walton Stout Band. 3 full time positions? Bring. It. On.

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth road? More like bumpy rollercoaster! As I mention rollercoaster, I have to tell you about an event I coordinated and managed at Six Flags Over Texas for the movie TAG for the Levenson Group. Guests preregistered for the event early in the day, but only half returned! My phenomenal staff ran around the park collecting guests to participate in the game. I couldn’t lose. I had so much press and all of the stars were standing with me (Jon Ham, Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Jake Johnson and Hannibal Burress). It was one of the hottest days of the year… I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much in my life. I totally threw away everything I was wearing that day! With 661 participants, we broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest game of freeze tag!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Party Time Texas – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

Party Time has long been known for fabulous entertainment: national acts, DJ/MCs, the best variety bands, and a host of other performers. We excel in custom event production from planning/coordinating to supplying select vendors. On a personal note, I am a self-proclaimed workaholic with a track record of being the most efficient person most people have ever worked with.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I grew up near White Rock in Dallas. My husband and I travel the world, but there is nothing like home. I am convinced we have the kindest people I’ve ever encountered! I must say, I love the State Fair of Texas so much, I built an entire event to look like the fair! I had a midway, popcorn, and of course Big Tex! The Dallas World Aquarium is also one of my favorite places take out of towners…. we love it so much, we got married there!

What do I like the least? Can we talk about 110 degree temps? That was so crazy, it made me appreciate 100 degrees! I have a convertible (I know, I know… not exactly practical for Texas or my career), and I LIVE for the couple of months a year Dallas has perfect convertible weather. I also have three rescue dogs that are VERY stubborn when it’s above 90 degrees. LOL!
