Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Jones.
Nikki, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I always had a passion for health, beauty and the awareness of caring for others, At a very young age, I recognized the joyfulness of caring for others brought me. In connection with caring for others, I worked in Healthcare management for ten years where I realized skin care and helping others identify their beauty was my true passion. I then decided to take a leap of faith by enrolling in Aveda Institute where I received my Texas State license as an Esthetician. I graduated in February 2017 but received my license April 2017. I then began working at Avy Day Spa. I used social media to market myself which helped promote my skills and ultimately bring clientele. After 6 months of working on commission at Avy Day Spa, I decided to branch out on my own. Renting a suite was my next goal. I began renting a suite at Sugar suite lounge October 2017. Here is where my career started to really blossom. I believe this is where I came into my own and solidified my passion for skin care. I am now in the process of opening my very own skin studio.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth Road? The answer is No. There were times I felt like giving up. There were times I questioned if I made the right decision leaving my healthcare career. There were people who also questioned my decision in pursuing my dream. My advice would be to stay consistent, believe in yourself even when others do not. Always pray and NEVER give up on your dreams. The journey won’t be easy but it will be worth it. Nothing worth having comes easy. Focus on your light at the end of the tunnel. The reward at the in will mean so much more.

I specialize in chemical peels, microdermabrasion treatment, derma plane, facials, back facials, and body buffing. I am best known for my chemical peels. I am most proud of my client’s results and making them happy. What sets me apart is my willingness to go the extra mile for my clients and creating the most comfortable environment. I am constantly researching products and solutions to provide the best results and service.
Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
Yes, of course. I was always told by my mom that I could do and become anything I wanted to be. Those words I heard daily as a child re-played in my mind throughout my life and still to this day. I believe I can do anything and control my own destiny no matter the circumstances.
