We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey has been all about faith. I had a vision for my career as a professional makeup artist who is licensed. It took lots of leaps of faith to get where I am going now. What keeps me going is my passion for the art of makeup and the confidence it brings to the soul. I believe the best has yet to come for me! My advice to other women who are just starting this journey is a jump. The sky is the limit, your career in makeup is whatever you create it to be. Nothing is accomplished without faith. Therefore if it is the true desire of your heart to pursue this career path, do be discouraged by what you see. Hold steadfast to your vision in pursuit of your dreams.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Beauty by Teriasia – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a makeup artist, licensed esthetician, and writer. Basically, a woman of the arts as it pertains to largest organ on the temple! I am most proud of the impact my work has had on the lives of others. What sets me apart from the rest is the words of hope I paint on to those I encounter during every application, and every stroke of my brush.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve benefited from using?
I love listening to Pastor Cora Jakes-Coleman. Her book ‘Faithing it for Milinieiails’ will give you the push you need to keep on going. I also enjoy listening to sermons preached by Pastor Amanda Conner of the Gate Church, OKC. I’ve needed from her that you just have to be a willing womb! One of the podcasts my husband and business partner recommends is Breaking Beauty, for all your newness and current product education.
