Meet Brian Claeys of All Dogs Unleashed in Carrollton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Claeys.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Started in 2007 after leaving corporate America in Iowa and moving to Texas to start All Dogs Unleashed. My business partner and myself trained dogs out of a house we rented until we saved enough money to build out our first facility. We also contracted roofs to help create extra income to go towards our build out. In 2010, we opened our first physical location where we offered boarding and daycare as well as training. In 2015, we purchased 2.6 acres and finished building our new facility in January 2017.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggles we had was being able to grow the business without sacrificing quality and were able to achieve this by only hiring trainers that we have sculpted from the beginning. Anyone who now trains for us started off as kennel tech and then worked hard to earn the training position after being trained and working hundreds of dogs.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the All Dogs Unleashed story. Tell us more about the business.
We provide dog training, boarding and daycare services. We love building a long-term relationship with our customers so we can become a one stop shop for their pet needs. I am extremely proud of the culture we have created within. Everyone at our location truly loves what they do and it is so much better working with happy people. We are also very proud of the fact our co-owner Travis took first place in a PSA national event we hosted at our facility last year. He is truly one of the best trainers in the United States and he proves it on the field. What sets us apart is truly the staff. I tell all potential clients to just come visit and compare us to whomever. We would never say anything negative about others and feel there is no need because our positivity always shines so bright.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The pet industry continues to grow so we feel very stable. Our long-term goal is to now help others achieve the same success using our business model. Currently we have two other locations with trainers that we sculpted and they are doing extremely well. Those markets are Charlete North Carolina and San Antonio.
