Melissa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
At Kos/Danchak, we strive to improve the quality of life for those in need of hearing health care. We provide comprehensive and individual hearing health care, while building long-term relationships with our patients and their families based upon honesty, integrity, and respect.
I, Dr. Melissa Danchak, am the owner of the practice. I began working at Kos/Danchak Audiology in 1997 and have owned the practice since 2002. I earned my Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) through the University of Florida, my Masters in Audiology at The University of Texas at Dallas, and my Bachelors in speech communication at Abilene Christian University. With over 20 years of experience in helping those with hearing challenges in the Arlington and surrounding communities, I am committed and remain very passionate about providing unparalleled care and service for our patients.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
On one hand, it has been a smooth road. I am very blessed to have great employees who have a very similar desire to serve the people that we meet with each day at the highest level possible and with the best care we can provide. On the other hand, many people will delay their hearing health care needs for upwards of 10 years and that can be challenging to overcome at times.

We also define success by the referrals of friends and family that we receive every day, as well as the referrals from over 75 doctors in the DFW area.
Lastly, we define success by the people that choose us after they have had a hearing health care experience elsewhere. Each month we have new patients to our practice that have, unfortunately, had a less than positive experience somewhere else. They have found us through a friend or a family member or an online review that helps them feel confident in continuing their hearing health care journey.
