Today we’d like to introduce you to Oscar Ornelas.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’ve been playing music for over 25 years. I was raised in a family that loved all kinds of music in San Angelo, Texas. I’ve played some pretty great places in Texas and also in Europe. It’s been fantastic to have a great creative outlet with music.
Please tell us about your art.
I sing and I also play piano and saxophone. I create original music with the intention to bring passion and energy into each live performance. My inspiration comes from the love and compassion of the world. I am really grateful to have a connection with everyone I meet.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Happiness. I have a roof over my head, and I eat every day. I have everything I need. Success to me is sustaining that. I grew up in a very traditional hard-working blue-collar family. I bring that mentality to my music, and it helps sustain that success.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Thorough my website. Check out a live show and buy my music, but the biggest way to support my work is to continue to support your community establishments that bring in live music and help everyone else. We are all in this world together, and we can lift each other up.
