Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Carter and Michael Reese.
The story really goes back 17 years ago when Craig and Michael met. They were recruited to come to Dallas to work for the same company, even had the same town car pick them up from the airport and interview with the same people, ending up landing the same job.
After they went on and explored other opportunities, they met back up at another company here in Dallas where they saw a lot of success but then decided to go off on their own.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was a hustle from the get-go and hasn’t stopped since. The idea was to create a brand that we could be proud of and that consumers saw great value.
A lot of companies try to eliminate quality, coolness and design features from product to increase margins. The only people that suffer are the consumers. We stand behind our product and consider ourselves best in class amongst the price points of watches we compete against.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
What we design and how we design has earned us great partnerships at both the national department store level, as well as, some of the great specialty stores around the country.
You can find Jack Mason watches in stores including, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdales, SAK’s, Jared’s, Dillards, STAG, Martin Patrick 3 and Need Supply. We’re most proud of the way we’ve been able to pave our own way without listening to outside noise.
From the beginning, we wanted to create a badass product that consumers would be proud to wear, a great conversation piece, and something they see a lot of value in.
Create timepieces that come from quality materials, look luxury and feel luxury, but at an affordable price that people can afford. That’s what separates us from the rest.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Our employees deserve the most credit. We have the type of employees in our office that have sacrificed, some for multiple years, for the greater good on what we’re trying to achieve. Nothing would make us happier than to give back to them.
