Check Out Angelia Robinson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelia Robinson.

Hi Angelia , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a retired recording artist that moved to Texas 8 years ago to live and work with Gospel Sensation Fred Hammond. After a bitter divorce and less than desirable experience working with Fred I found myself having to start over and actually reinvent myself. So, at 42 years old I had no idea what I was going to do. My journey has always been about empowering women and so I stumbled upon this company called Pure Romance. I would go on to become the 1st African American woman to obtain the highest title in this $400 Million Dollar Company, develop a Million Dollar Team of my own and acquire a seat on their Board of Directors all within the first 5 years of my career as an independent consultant. This journey would spark me to finally write my Autobiography in an effort to further help women to heal from their past traumas and become the best version of themselves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Omg no. Nothing about my road has been smooth but I have always seemed to take the path of the most resistance. With a past like mine I’m thankful to be alive. My first big struggle I had to overcome was being a child victim of sex abuse. I was first molested and sodomized at the age of 4 years old. I would later find myself in emotionally and mentally abusive relationships for years to come as I continued to look for love in all the wrong places. I was once married to a drug kingpin who was a serial cheater and whom my mother would side with over me obviously due to our broken relationship and the lure of money. A child needs and craves a mother’s love and that has been something I feel I have fought to receive my entire life. As a result, I made poor choices when it came to relationships and so that left me broken hearted time and time again.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an Entrepreneur, certified sexual health promoter and an Author. I specialize in coaching and motivating women to become financially fit and process their pain due to past trauma in an effort to help them become the best version of themselves. As a sexual health promoter I educate women about their bodies and encourage them to own their own pleasure through my Pure Romance parties. There are so many women of all races, religions and sexual orientations that have not been educated about their sexual health and so therefore it has caused them to suffer in silence in the bedroom. In my career I help to keep married people married and single people safe. As of this moment I am most proud of me having the courage to share my story, my truth with the world. It has caused so many women to speak up about their past traumas which is the beginning of their healing process. What sets me apart from others? Well, my signature red hair lol and my ability to relate and identify with so many people from different walks of life.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The best advice I can give those just starting out is to have CPP. CONSISTENCY, PASSION & PATIENCE. Most of the people in this generation want to become rich overnight or famous. No one seems to want to work for what they want anymore. This is a big problem, but to the 1% that have a strong work ethic, the future is theirs and it’s so bright. DO NOT GIVE UP. You only fail, if you quit. My favorite quote is that it’s never too late to be who or what you might have been. Last but not least, take the advice of the great Maya Angelou. She said and I quote, “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.”
