Hi Mary, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started as a receptionist at a Tax office when I was 16. Years went by, and I was doing taxes and loved it. My mentors are amazing and decided they were going to retire in 2020 and encouraged me it was the perfect time for me to start my own Tax business, and I ran with it!!! It has not been easy, but I kept pushing. I love helping people & just knew it was the absolute best timing. Today I have launched other services and see future growth for MDS TAX.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth ride, more like a rollercoaster, but every time something would discourage me, I fall back to one of my favorite bible verses, Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me!!! Anyone who has a Dream stay focused & never give up. One of the biggest things that also help me was remembering what my why was (My babies) to show them anything is possible if you believe and never give up.

My biggest goal for my business is to give my clients the peace of mind that when they file with me, they get the highest refund possible. I will continue to assist, if need be, after-tax session, helping as many people as I can and teaching them to learn, grow, and excel in life. Educating my clients with new tax laws or something as simple as translating a letter, I love to help people and utilize my professional expertise for my clients.
