Dr. Rohini Agarwal of Dallas on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Dr. Rohini Agarwal and have shared our conversation below.

Rohini, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I am a morning person and have an urge to be most productive in the first 2-3 hours of the day as i am well rested and energetic. I spend 30 mins on yoga followed by getting kids ready to go to school. Once I reach office i meet my staff and go over the entire day to plan and be prepared for the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am general dentist and private practice owner in Dallas. I started Smilecloud Family dental back in 2024 and after establishing the business decided that i can also start a trade school to train and give opportunities to next generation of youth find employment in dental field. In 2026 i started Brilliant Dental Assistant school, which is a licensed trade school approved by Texas Workforce commission. The school offers a condensed 12 week program to train high school graduates to become registered dental assistants.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My spouse has been most influential in giving me the confidence to pursue what i dream and to take risks in life If i believe in something.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Getting approval for a trade school was long journey with tedious paperwork and approval process. I was doing well on my dental business and felt that it was taking too much time and focus away. But building anything new is not easy and takes perseverance. At times that i felt like giving up I reminded myself on why i started in the first place and the joy it would bring to train young generations with a skill they could use for the rest of the lives and find stable employment.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends know that for me being real and grounded is most important. In a world full of material objects and showmanship i like to surround myself with people who believe in a simple life where real things like friendship, honesty and integrity matters.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
As a small business owner i feel that i have my fingerprints on every aspect of the business. My customers love the personal connections and customer service we provide. If i retired my customers would most certainly miss that i wished them happy birthday, asked them about their vacations and graduation of their daughter.
