Exploring Life & Business with Angel Savoy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Savoy.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ll start with how my Coaching business got started 1st. Each of my businesses started before they actually started, if that makes sense. All my life, I’ve had the gift of exhortation despite of things that I have been through. It didn’t seem to matter what I was going through personally, if someone called, I was able to lift them up, encourage them and get them to see a different perspective almost immediately. I realized it was a gift because at certain times of my life (even as far back as my teenage and young adult years) I could be low myself but yet I still had plenty of fight in me to build others up and it made me happy! After decades of doing this and with a few suggestions from associates, I was nudged into making it official and getting my Life Coaching Certification.

Once I had more of a title for it, I was able to reintroduce myself and basically let anyone know who was listening who I was and I was good at this! God gives us gifts and what he puts in us can’t be duplicated or taken away, I knew it was my God-given right to make an impact and help people become free. I have clients all over the states and Coaching allows me to be a lot of places at once. I could have a 1 pm in Dallas, a 2 pm in Orlando, a 3 pm in Houston and so forth, it’s truly amazing! I am very transparent with my clients about my personal struggles and that sets me apart from most. I don’t give textbook answers, I love that my clients know I’ve been through things and I am an overcomer and survivor!

They need that assurance that joy comes after pain and they need a how-to guide at times on how to get through it and that’s where I come in as a Healing, Love and Accountability Coach!

Fit and Flavorfull meal preparation began once I lost 71lbs successfully without the aid of any weight loss products, surgery or special training. I simply began to understand that we each have a unique relationship with food, understood body types, emotional eating and so much more and I simply wanted to help others! I prep 100s of meals weekly and deliver to my clients and I love hearing their testimonies on how much easier the journey has been with meal prep, it warms my heart to be any part of that!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Birthing Fit and Flavorfull was a pretty smooth ride as far as business goes, but my personal journey was tough. I suffered a glute injury back in 2015 that definitely took me out of the gym still to this day. I go through the ups and downs of losing and gaining weight as everyone else but I know what can be done when one commits. My clients saw my transition throughout the years so that definitely helped people believe that it could be done with discipline. The first 55 pounds I lost I had never set foot in a gym so I knew what changing your lifestyle could do, and that’s the principle I built my business on. With the Life Coaching, it was smooth getting there but people realizing that I wouldn’t spend hours on the phone with them for free anymore definitely shifted some relationships lol!

It’s ok though, I understand that everyone isn’t your audience and some aren’t supposed to go with you where you’re going. To be a good coach or anything, you have to go through your own personal breaking to know where you make the most impact. Accountability is my strongest area but that’s because I use to be a person that always blamed something else for bad decisions and that wasn’t healthy. Relationships & Love is right behind that because in marriage, I have seen some things (going on 16 years married in 2021) and most would have run and run away fast but God made sure I got through it to bless others. I have a response for every emotion a husband or wife could possibly go through! I’ve gotten to a place that I understand what I went through and what I put my husband through at times was never about us but how we could help others.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others? What I want people to know most about me is that I was stretched and birthed to do just what I am doing. I specialize in helping others overcome and process hurt and pain in my Coaching business. What sets me apart from others is that I use transparency and I’m very personal where most professionals will tell you to stand clear of that. I need my clients to know what overcoming a toxic environment looks like, what surviving infidelity looks like, what thinking God doesn’t love you looks like, surviving multiple miscarriages, surviving condemnation and so much more.

I’m a fighter, I’m a survivor, I’m a warrior, a demon slayer! I know God, so they’re not just “spilling” their guts to someone who has not been there, someone who doesn’t understand because I’ve experienced things that broke people! I know experience is the best teacher and I’m willing to tell my story if it stops someone from going through what I did. I’m proud of myself for stepping out on faith and coming out of the darkness of believing that I wasn’t worthy overall… I offer sessions in person, over the phone and of course, virtually! I host retreats quarterly and I’m MOST proud of the work that’s done at my Rewrite Your Story Retreats, true freedom and deliverance take place when people understand that they aren’t alone.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I do not operate in “luck” I operate in Blessings and Lessons. Everything that I went through was either through my disobedience or my obedience to the word of God. God sends the right people to you at the right time, some are temporary and some are permanent. If my businesses went through slow seasons, it simply gave me time to recharge and pray for direction and when they picked up, I was able to rejoice, pour into others and enjoy my harvest.
