Today we’d like to introduce you to Anu Dhakal
Anu, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
That’s a loaded question because I have been through hell and back to be where I am today but to summarize it, I was the owner of Cirenity spa but I had a hidden reality behind all that. I was going through domestic abuse at home but was trying to hide all that and still focus on being a business owner and a mother. When things got out of hands, I had to leave everything behind and move to a different city with barely anything to my name. Went through court to get a divorce, a protective order and full custody of my daughter all while working at a local salon to provide for me and my daughter but by gods grace I knew with time, I will come out of this stronger than ever and I did. Now I am a solo esthetician working for myself and trying to build it back up piece by piece.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been easy at all. Being a single mother, going through divorce, fighting for custody with a narcissist all while trying to stay afloat in this economy isn’t an easy task! I worked hard day in and out because I knew my end goal was to work for myself and I still work very hard to this day! But I count my blessings each and everyday 🙏

I am an Esthetician at GirlyGlow Esthetics! We’re all things beauty! specializing in brow threading, brow lamination, brow tint, eyelash lift, eyelash extensions, facials, chemical peels, anti aging treatments and body waxing! I have been working in the beauty industry for over 15 years and people know me for being their esti besti who not only helps them feel beautiful from the outside but inside as well ❤️ I am so proud of where I am today and it truly wouldn’t have been possible without my wonderful clients who trust me and followed me even though I have moved from one place to another a couple times. I am truly a peoples person and I have the ability to make woman feel great about themselves which I am very passionate about.
What matters most to you? Why?
I am a true girls girl at heart and honestly uplifting a woman and making her feel good about herself makes me the happiest! When I hand my client the mirror after our appointment and they have that biggest smile on their faces, that right there is why I do what I do! I love making people feel confident about themselves and that is my purpose.
