Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Back in 2016, I started an Instagram course teaching Boutique owners how to sell on Instagram after doing over $100,000 in one year on the popular platform. I knew exactly how to replicate my success and taught it to all my clients!
I wanted to be able to connect all of my clients in one place so they could collaborate with each other so I started a Facebook group of Boutique owners and small shop owners and it quickly grew to over 14,000 business owners daily engaging in the Facebook group.
After selling the course for few years, I started to see opportunities for success on other platforms like Facebook groups, TikTok and Pinterest, so I created a membership site that keeps these small shop owners up to date on all the social media trends! They even have direct access to MEGA successful boutique owners making millions a year with their stores — we call them Small Shop Social Mentors and they are daily answering questions from our members! These small shop owners blow me away every day! They are so willing to share what works for them just to help out another owner!
When I reflect back on where my business began, I would have never imagined it would be were it is today! I am so blessed to wake up everyday and work a job that I LOVE with some of the most incredible hard-working Small Shop Owners!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If you are a business owner, you know running your own business is never a smooth road! One of the obstacles I hit in the early days was making the mistake of naming my business “instaboss” and realizing later when I went to get it trademarked that Instagram owns the rights to INSTA. Word of advice to anyone starting a new business — make sure your business name isn’t already trademarked!
