Life & Work with Sabrina Smith of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Smith

Hi Sabrina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a technology consultant and an early stage entrepreneur.
I have a new startup remotely located in Dallas called AuRoom, it acts as a remote tech incubator to build with other founders and conscious businesses around the world.

The purpose is to create more opportunities for small businesses in virtual creative & innovative spaces, such as for e-commerce, and to specialize in sustainable technology and ethics.

I have been part of the technology industry for almost 14 years and I am a community leader.
I have an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Florida with a focus in Entrepreneurship and did a virtual mentorship with IBM.

My mission is to create sustainable communication bridges to enhance relationships and collaboration for technology and humanity projects.

I am also building a global initiative called The Honey Hive Project to encourage collaborative tech protocols of engagement with organizations, corporate and foundations to build sustainability, including the metaverse and Ai.

As an Artist, I empower creatives to build a legacy of creative ownership.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all!
Our technology collective, which spans currently from Texas, New York, Florida and beyond, had a lot of community issues to face, and especially while working remotely.
We discovered that there was no clear communication where the industry was truly headed with a roadmap or blueprint. And even with the Ai reskilling phase, there still is no clear path.
While the technology sector globally benefitted from decentralizing its operations and expanding to new areas and people, the “Why” really became more important than the “How” and the “What” we are building.

I became intrigued by ethical technology research and got involved with learning about the United Nations in 2022, speaking virtually on the UN Headquarters floor in 2023.

I also had to travel a good amount, to Florida, New York, and Silicon Valley, for conferences, meetings, and field research to get insight on what was really going on, especially during the conversion into more Ai phase for tech.
It has been a madhouse, to say the least!

I anticipate that for 2025, we will have better global insight hopefully with ethics intact, and I will be doing more traveling.

This time, it will be in a more official capacity with company partners and global sponsors, speaking on stages and making good international deals with my company internal protocols in place, to set a good example in the industry.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Global technology communities have a desire to make alliances, and through the similarities in challenges and reflection on gaps, I believe it is possible we can develop more official protocols that can reflect ways of ethical building for technology in the virtual metaverse, for Ai, on the blockchain, and so on.

It will take many perspectives to build and sustain.

And I want my company AuRoom to be part of that trailblazing movement, and be able to represent a healthy globally remote incubator that creatively showcases and curates other conscious companies in an interactive, e-commerce environment.

In addition, the Honey Hive Project was born through the necessity of needing an online, safe and creative virtual environment for global collaboration.
We can create accessible creative campaigns towards impactful projects with entrepreneurs and safely cross-pollinate different networks of people.

This year, I am working on partnering with exciting hybrid and online global initiatives with various teams and branding campaigns to share the vision of how our world can be ethically and sustainably built in the real world.

Looking forward to the growth in 2025!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am an artist, I love fashion design, and I taught myself a lot, even in tech.
I really love movies, and appreciate the classics as well.
