Thanks for sharing your story with us Alicia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Everything that we are, have accomplished and are impacting is due to God. He is at the center of who we are and what we do. We have to give him the glory for everything that we have done, are doing and will do! Now that I’ve given due credit, let’s dive into our story…
I, Alicia Kemp (Founder), was impregnated with the vision for Speak Prosperity LLC™️ in early October 2017. I remember sitting in church at the Potter’s House – Dallas wondering what my ultimate purpose on this Earth was when ideas for Speak Prosperity LLC just begin to flow. Literally, I could not even hear what Pastor TD Jakes was preaching. It was as though God had muted my entire environment as he whispered the vision for who and what Speak Prosperity LLC™️ is today. Within two weeks, I filed for our LLC formation and the ball was rolling. I was frightened, but I knew that I was lead by God. Faith had soon overtaken my fear. Our journey had just begun.
We spent the next nine months preparing for our launch – we fleshed out the blueprint for our blog, built our website, designed/printed our first collection of merchandise and handled other administrative tasks to prepare for a seamless launch. We officially launched our website, blog and online store to the world on September 1, 2018! Despite the many obstacles, mistakes and brand refreshes we have continued to keep moving forward. We have committed ourselves to speak prosperity and life into as many as our platforms reach – we do not plan to ever give up on that commitment.
Recently, we obtained our Trademark on August 19, 2019! There are so many great ideas that we are currently working to flesh out. I am absolutely positive that we will never get to a place of complacency – we are always brainstorming to see how we can further serve and impact those who encounter our platform.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been an easy road by any means. Some struggles have included: finding healthy balances between attacking tasks that need to be completed, effectively engaging our target audience and sufficiently managing merchandise inventory. The most detrimental struggle has been producing relevant content while staying 1000% true to our brand. We have been diligently working to educate ourselves, outsource when needed and re-strategize to overcome and eradicate these obstacles. Unfortunately, obstacles are apart of all of our everyday lives. We just have to have faith, work smart/hard and have a strategic plan.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Speak Prosperity LLC ™️ story. Tell us more about it.
What sets us apart from others is that we are a faith-based online platform that is dedicated to assisting individuals in becoming better/well from a 360 standpoint – physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and financially! We want to help you flourish as a whole. The online platforms that we use to do so include our website and social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. We also produce weekly blog posts on our website and sell faith-based/inspirational merchandise locally in Dallas, TX and via our national online store.
What we are most proud of our growth as a company within a short time frame. Not only have we grown our audience on social media platforms, but we have also seen significant growth in our impact. We measure this by the amount of DMs, emails, comments and overall feedback that we receive about our platform. The feedback has been inspiring to say the very least!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my industry continuing to flourish and grow over the next 5-10 years. The big shift will be in alignment with what is currently trending – bridging the gap between the kingdom (the church/believers/Christians) and the culture (secular world). It is this shift/trend that will contribute to the need for more faith-based online platforms dedicated to speaking life into individuals where they are. We are all already familiar with the increasing popularity and growth of internet usage and social media usage, so our brand has an abundance of room to grow and subsequently positively impact more individuals.
