Meet Allison West of Flawless Skin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison West.

Allison, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My passion for helping people look beautiful has translated into a successful career of over 20 years in beauty and wellness. I began working as an assistant salon director in a beauty salon and worked my way up from there. I studied skincare and after honing my art in a spa and then learning lasers and working as a laser technician for a medical practice, I was approached by a professional skincare company to become their Director of Marketing and Education. I had the opportunity to work alongside professional product biochemists which taught me so much and gave me a wealth of valuable experience. As an educator I trained estheticians in spas and conducted beauty workshops throughout the USA and Canada. It was amazing traveling the country and teaching what I was so passionate about – sharing my knowledge with others. I later had the opportunity to accept a position working for a dermatologist and plastic surgeon and that allowed me to learn medical esthetics, I started my business in 2015 after many years in the beauty industry helping others to make the most of their potential for gorgeous, healthy, glowing skin!

Has it been a smooth road?
There were times when I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay where I was in my career. When I was working with lasers in a practice, there were weeks and even months that I would perform laser hair removal on body parts and spend no time at all with my hands on my patients’ faces. I really missed that and realized I had to make a change in order to continue to pursue my dream.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Flawless Skin – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Although I do facials and other skin care services as most estheticians do, I specialize in “results oriented” treatments. This is what sets me apart from others. In our society today we are surrounded by ads for fillers and facelifts but I believe in becoming a better version of yourself through treatments that do not include surgery. I am known for having quite an arsenal of lifts, peels, lights and treatments that will stimulate collagen production, eliminate age and sun spots, treat acne, soften fine lines, tighten skin, even out complexions and make my clients love the skin they are in! As a company, I am proudest of the fact that I truly care about each client and I listen to their concerns. I will customize a treatment plan for my client, whether she is 21 or 71. I truly want to make my clients look good and feel good about themselves.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the fact that good food, entertainment, shopping is so easily accessible in the DFW area. You don’t have to go far for anything you want! I can’t imagine living anywhere else! Every now and then, though, it would be nice to be away from buildings and lights so to truly relax, lay back and look at the stars in the sky without wondering which ones are airplanes.
