Today we’d like to introduce you to Deadrian Thomas.
Deadrian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a country kid out of Waco, TX. After high school, I found myself not knowing exactly what I wanted to do. After a few “growing pains” and moments of maturity, I realized my talent in cutting hair. I enrolled in barber college in Dallas and never looked back! I worked in a salon for two years after barber college and then opened my shop in 2012. I refused to be a statistic and by the grace of God, I am now able to allow others to be productive members of society as barbers. My journey has taught me to believe in myself and to look beyond circumstances towards a bright future. My passion as a barber enables me to be an influence in the lives of the people that I come into contact with daily.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh no. It has not been a smooth road by far. Cutting hair is easy, but being a business owner is a whole different ball game. I have had to learn how to truly trust and believe in my abilities to own and operate a successful business. It comes with many sacrifices, sleepless nights, and long hours away from home. Managing a shop of 6 barbers, including myself, definitely has it’s ups and downs. Luckily I have a team of barbers that support me and the well-being of Unlimited Stylez. The pressure of operating the shop goes beyond those four walls. If I fail, they fail.

Unlimited Stylez is a place where you can come and relax, have great conversation, and get away from the HUSTLE and bustle of daily life. I specialize in detailed, creative designs and clean, precise edge- ups. Every head is my masterpiece! Unlimited Stylez is known for its great customer service. Sometimes all a person needs is someone to talk to. I give each client my full attention when they are in my chair. A simple edge-up can turn into a life-changing conversation. I am proud to say that Unlimited Stylez lives up to it’s name. The styles are unlimited. The service is one of a kind, and the clients keep coming back for more.
What were you like growing up?
As a child, I was very family-oriented. My childhood was full of good times and laughter. I was interested in all sports and video games. Funny as it may sound, I was also interested in barbering. I spent many days in my uncle’s barbershop, imagining what it would be like to be like him.
