Meet James Denito, DC of Denito Chiropractic Clinic in Allen

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Denito, DC.

James, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I wanted to be a doctor since I was 5 years old, following in my uncle’s footsteps. I decided to specialize in chiropractic medicine at 17 years old while undergoing treatment with chiropractic for a gymnastics-related neck injury. While he needed less than a week to completely cure me, I witnessed this doctor restore the nerve function of a small dog that was paralyzed in the rear legs that same time interval. It was then I knew I had to follow a hands-on specialty!

I was so energized to get my college doctorate when I graduated high school in 1976, I squeezed a 6-year degree into just 5 years, and started my career here in Plano at age 24. The thing I was most proud of during this time was being a charter member of the board in the creation of the Plano Suicide Hotline center. It merged into the Assistance Center of Collin County eventually.

My practice took less than 5 years to become busy enough that we had to move to larger offices in southern Allen. Over the next 10 years at that location, I saw people referred to me from all over the country with maladies drugs and surgery couldn’t fix. During that time, I did a bit of Saturday AM radio in New England and became so popular the station wanted to put me on in prime time to compete with Howard Stern. I turned that offer down to their disappointment, to grow my practice and focus on stewarding my 2 young children’s growth.

Over those 10 years, I shared my knowledge by doing local speaking engagements on a variety of subjects. I also designed and printed a poster depicting the genealogy of the world’s healing arts, copyrighted a new logo for the chiropractic profession, wrote a sci-fi novel called Majestik One, all cumulating with a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do!

The expansion was once again needed, so we moved to a medical building I purchased near down-town Allen in 1997. This allowed the room to bring more ancillary practices under one roof. During the 20+ years, we had such diversity as midwifery, autism research, functional optometry, colonic irrigation, therapeutic massage, a nutrition store, ozone therapy, SlimGeneration weightloss, medical prolotherapy and even a food co-op!

Has it been a smooth road?
My struggles have all made me stronger.

I was blinded in my left eye at 1-year old by a contaminated Polio vaccination. The posture I adapted growing up allowed me to see better but drew hurtful fun-making by classmates. I hunkered down into my books to avoid eye contact, and eventually got enough confidence at 11 years old to train my eyes to look equal and face my classmates. I graduated in the top of my class in the National Honor Society and had Letterman status in swimming and gymnastics.

In 1988, I contracted severe meningitis from a vacation in Mexico and fought back the leg paralysis using the natural remedies I preached about all my career.

In 1994, I suffered a severe crash on my motorcycle, collapsing my right chest and lung and bruising my heart and liver. Again, I completely cured myself using the tools of my profession.

I found humor was essential in my healing and that of everyone around me. A tool I used, learned from my days in radio, was voice impersonations. Today, I have a portfolio of 110 voices to cope with the challenges of life.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Denito Chiropractic Clinic – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Denito Chiropractic Clinic is an oasis of hope for the failures of medicine and chiropractic.

The 10,000 patients we have had referred to our practice cover the complete gamut of diseases you can imagine. Using the advice in all the disciplines the world has to offer, we have made people believe in life again. You see, disease and trauma all seem to prey upon the vulnerable in our civilization. Your health begins by becoming curious enough to seek another answer to your problem. Curiosity creates knowledge, and all the studies show that the higher your educational status, the more likely you will seek healthier food and lifestyles. The world needs to refuse to accept being sick, fat and tired!

The athletic community has benefited most from chiropractic, and my career led me into gymnastics again as an adult. Since 2000 I worked 25 International gymnastic meets as a trainer and meet a doctor for WOGA, and was closely involved in the cultivation of our 2 Gold medalists Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin.

I currently am a formulator for doctor clients in making customized nutritional supplements. One product we have a famous Beverly Hills surgeon use to help his orthopedic practice, and my coach partner and I are bringing a special blend to market soon for the needs of the gymnastics community.

I am very proud of the big lecture I did at Southfork Ranch Oil Barron’s Ballroom in 2008. We filmed the event on DVD entitled “Being Human on an Inhuman Planet”.

Lastly, I work closely with an old friend in bringing his new oil fracking method to market, using plasma energy! It is the biggest revolution in oil since the discovery of the ability to do horizontal drilling. As a partner in this company, my main job is keeping everybody healthy with the long hours they work.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The thing I like best about this metroplex is the fact we all have come here because it offers the best hope for what is wrong with the rest of the country.

The least favorite thing is the allergies. The popular quote from nearly all my patients is “I never had allergies till I moved to Dallas!”
