How I Got Here – James Loffredo
I’ve always believed the best opportunities come when you’re willing to create them. From an early age, I was drawn to ideas that felt too big, too challenging, ideas that tested my limits and shaped who I am today.
I started out in the world of real estate and finance because it combined two things I was passionate about: connecting people with resources and building something lasting. What began as a single transaction quickly evolved into a calling to
design a better way for entrepreneurs, developers, and investors to access the capital they need to win.
Today I’m the Founder and Principal of Pinnacle Funding Network and Pinnacle Focus. Together, these platforms have evolved from a spark of an idea into a growing ecosystem for private lending and equity connections. Our focus is precision: aligning entrepreneurs and visionaries with the right capital, structure, and long term relationships.
But this journey hasn’t been about titles or revenue milestones. It’s been about learning to operate at the intersection of discipline and vision, to think bigger, execute harder, and create opportunities that outlast me. Every risk I’ve taken, every lesson I’ve learned, every challenge I’ve faced has shaped the man I am today.
I don’t measure success by transactions. I measure it by impact. By the people we help build, the projects we help launch, and the generations we help create. Getting here hasn’t been a straight line, and where I’m going won’t be either. But that’s the point. True entrepreneurship doesn’t wait for a roadmap. It draws one, and it never stops.
At the heart of this journey is Amanda. This isn’t just about finding a supportive partner… it’s about building with someone who pushes you harder, sees further, and challenges you to rise to a higher standard every day. Together, we’re more than a couple. We’re a force that reshapes limits and redefines what’s possible. In entrepreneurship and in life, having a partner who demands the best of you is the ultimate competitive advantage. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. The path that got me here has been anything but easy, and honestly I wouldn’t want it any other way. I came from a fifth generation family business, with all the comfort and security that came with it, but I left it behind to chase my own vision. I wanted to build something that was mine, to take the risk, to prove to myself and to the world what I was really capable of.
I moved to Dallas, started over, and went to work for a private lending firm. That’s where I first saw the gap and thought, I can do this better. By leveraging technology, focusing on relationships, and putting service first, I knew I could build a model that truly served investors and developers at the highest level.
Starting over was the hardest part. I’ve done it twice. There’s nothing easy about being at the bottom and staring up at what you want to create. But that’s what builds grit. That’s what sharpens the focus. For me, the goal has always been to build something special, something lasting.
And I wouldn’t be doing any of this without Amanda by my side. Starting my own firms became a whole new level when I had a partner who pushes as hard as I do. Together, we’re a true power couple and we know it. We raise the bar for ourselves and for each other every single day, and that has made all the difference.

Today I run two firms that reflect exactly where my focus and passion have led me. At Pinnacle Focus we raise and structure private equity, connecting high net worth individuals and institutions with opportunities to build generational wealth. At Pinnacle Funding Network we work directly with developers and investors across the country to provide flexible, forward thinking lending solutions for everything from ground up construction to multi family acquisitions.
Both firms were built on the belief that relationships drive results. We use technology, precision and a relentless focus on trust to create platforms that are about long term partnerships and lasting impact.
Outside of business Amanda and I share another passion. We run an Instagram account called @powercoupleera where we post positivity about relationships, travel and the journey we’re building together. It’s a space that reflects the belief that life and business both get better when you have a strong partner by your side.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve learned that risk isn’t a detour from the path, it is the path. The biggest moments of growth in my life came when I stopped accepting the safe route and started betting on myself.
Walking away from a fifth generation family business was a risk. So was starting over in Dallas with nothing but a vision and a belief that I could build something better. And then doing it all over again when I launched my own firms. Those moments weren’t comfortable. They weren’t easy. But they shaped who I am and why I operate the way I do.
Today I view risk as a measure of conviction. You don’t take it blindly. You assess it, you understand it, and then you commit to it fully. In business, in relationships, in life, the biggest wins happen when you’re willing to lean into discomfort and trust your ability to create the outcome you envision.
That’s how I’ve built Pinnacle Focus and Pinnacle Funding Network, and it’s how Amanda and I continue to build a life that excites and inspires us every day. The risk of staying where you are will always be greater than the risk of chasing where you want to go.
