Meet Ryan & Amber of HappyBox Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan & Amber

Hi Ryan & Amber, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Storytellers at heart, we see such a lack of connection in this country – individuals unable to connect to each other, businesses unable to connect to their customers, executives unable to connect associates to their vision. And one of the most powerful ways, if not THE most powerful way, to connect is through story.

In a former life, we used the power of story to elevate voices for a big bank while on their payroll. Today, we use our backgrounds in filmmaking, photography, marking, and communications to do that for our customers – largely local businesses making a difference in the lives of those here in DFW.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge we’ve had is starting this business with little to no capital (intellectual or otherwise). Being good at and enjoying the process of turning people’s stories into art does not necessarily translate into “knows how to start and run a business with no money.”

As you know, we’re big fans of HappyBox Productions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At HappyBox Productions, we are a one-stop shop for end-to-end video production. Visual storytelling is our sweet spot, but we also excel at event videography (recaps, or highlight reels anyone?) and other types of content creation. We travel light to lower overhead and production costs as much as possible, bringing the technical skills and professional experience of a big-box production company, but in a smaller, happier box. Additionally, we both highly value social equity and strongly desire to contribute to tangible advocacy. As such, we love working with women-led and minority-owned businesses to build their brands and assist in marketing efforts.

HappyBox Productions: Human stories, artfully told.
