Today we’d like to introduce you to brilliant and adorable Morghan Vincent.
Hi Morghan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my first business (Rainbow Sprinkle Lemonade) after entering the National Lemonade Day contest at the North Park mall and placing 2nd for the People’s Choice award when I was only 4 years old. I got the idea of selling lemonade from my older brother who also used to compete in the National Lemonade Day contests at North Park mall where he placed 2nd in Best Tasting Lemonade his first year and 1st place his second year entering for the People’s Choice Award. I love lemonade. Honestly, who doesn’t? Lemonade is such a refreshing drink.
I started my second business (MorghanElise) after being quarantined during the Corona virus pandemic. One way that I would keep myself entertained is by putting on a fashion show for my parents. I really enjoyed putting together outfits and showing my them off to my family. It wasn’t until I ran out of t-shirts to model that I decided that I wanted to create my own. This is how I came up with MorghanElise. My mom helped me with everything I needed to get my business off the ground.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I cannot say that the road has been smooth. I couldn’t compete in National Lemonade contest or sell lemonade in 2020 because of COVID. Trying to start a business during a pandemic definitely had it’s challenges but I have survived my first year in business and have been smoothing the road out a bit.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a 6-year old second-grader who is a confident, fashionista and lemonade tycoon. My love for fashion makes me feel good when I look good. I believe that dressing well can boost your confidence. And like I said earlier, who doesn’t like lemonade? My lemonade is freshly-squeezed and made with organic cane sugar.
I am proud that both my businesses have survived through the pandemic and more people are finding out about my brand.
What sets me a part from others is that I see what I want and I go after it and never give up until I get it.
