Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Williams Jr.
Anthony, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m from Cleveland Ohio raised by a single mother in the west side. My life was basic but my unruliness caused my life to be what I made it to be. Music has been a part of me my whole life. But film became my new-found passion in 2015.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My music is based on the pain and turmoil of my uprisings. I’m a music artist, producer and photographer/videographer. Life has its own story. Sometimes your story can be someone else’s story. It’s about the impact you make in the world and how they react to it. That’s the Beauty of it all. I want ppl to know the real me and my reasoning of spreading my message to the world. The Sky Is Limitless…
Do you think conditions are generally improving for artists? What more can cities and communities do to improve conditions for artists?
I feel that it’s easier for certain type of artist. The great ones usually are independent and refuse to sign to a record label. Then you have the mumble ABC 123 rappers who’s making millions of dollars destroying the game itself. Cities should be more innovative and creative in their own ways. There are too many imitators in the world of music. Too many followers and not enough leaders.
