Today we’d like to introduce you to Javier Luna.
Javier, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Growing up my parents always pushed the arts to my siblings and I. The enrolled us into music classes I started by learning the piano then picked up other instruments along the way. I always had that itch for the creative. I started to learn about photography, videography, graphic design, and theater.
I either taught myself or took some classes offered at my school’s. later on, I decided that I wanted to be in a creative field where I can create and also make a living of from. So, I decided to take marketing classes as my college major since I feel like marketing is the most creative part of business.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I co-own a Media marketing company in where we focus on making unique content for business. However, on my person Instagram page you will be able to find a variety of photos. I love shooting food, street art, and places that I find interesting. I hope that people will be inspired to check out new foods and places that this amazing city has to offer. I try to keep everything as raw and less edited as I can so people can see the realness of my photography.
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Be authentic. Never try to pretend to be someone you’re not or do things just because they are trendy. I feel like it’s so easy to get lost in chasing likes and followers but it’s very important that at the end of the day you’re doing something you love and that is true to yourself.
