Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristan Rhys.
Tristan, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My son had a serious skin condition that seemed to only be getting worse. After trying so many different things to try and get it under control, I started learning more about activated charcoal and a “greener” soap without additives. I began putting together soap recipes that incorporated activated charcoal. After some trial and error, I was able to perfect my recipe. My son started showing vast improvement, which gave me, even more, drive to share my product with family and friends! After receiving incredible feedback, I expanded my soap line to include different scents and colors.
All of my products are toxin free. I use only pure essential oils, organic and sustainable botanicals, plant oils, clays, and activated charcoal that will nourish your skin while being kind to our planet.
I began selling my products in 2016, and from there my line has expanded to incorporate my remineralizing tooth powder, face serum, bath salts, and deodorants.
All of my products are made with eco-friendly, organic plant-based, and sustainable ingredients. They are handmade in small batches.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create beautiful, all natural soaps made with organic plant-based, eco-friendly, and sustainable ingredients.
My goal is to provide a cleaner, greener soap that is void of chemicals and artificial fragrances, that nurture and nourish all different skin types.
I handmake all of my products in small batches to guarantee fresh and top of the line products. I want people to be able to feel good about my products that they’re using, knowing it’s good for them and our planet!
What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
Be open-minded, and don’t be afraid to be yourself! Less judgment and more positive feedback.
