Art & Life with Wyatt Woodruff Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wyatt Woodruff Adams.

Wyatt Woodruff, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I didn’t pick painting up till about 4 years ago. I played rock and roll till about that time. When I was a boy I would paint with my grandmother, I didn’t think it would come back around in to my life, I thought drumming was my sole purpose, but I have found a new identity in painting.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art is abstract, or action painting. It’s about color and rhythm. I also like to use fine art paper to create collages. Abstract art is about mood and creating ambience while instantly grabbing your attention.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
I is not at a place to really give advice yet, I am still a student and learning and growing myself. If I were to tell anyone anything it would be ‘spend it’ you are worth it, it might take ten canvases to get where you are going, but when you get there it will be worth it. In the trial and error part there will be a lot of error.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I currently have work in a show called Mezcla at the Ft. Worth Community Arts Center. Also, I am Collective Brewereys featured artist this month, you can go in there for a beer and see my work.
