Check out Johannes Boekhoudt’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Johannes Boekhoudt.

Johannes, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Yes, I’m an artist focusing social matters from around the world. I’m documenting lack of human rights, domestic violence, kid’s rights. With a terrible era that we are living right now, I thought that somehow, I have to raise my voice for those that can’t do it.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I’m working primarily with oil on canvas or linen. This is my media that I prefer for my paintings. From small to large sizes canvases that make my art brilliant and a motive to learn about social issues. As I say, having an opportunity for raising my voice through art has been my goal.

My message is simple, learn from the painting and make the difference. I’m empowering the viewer to make the change in our society.

Each painting is unique, there’s no commercial prints or reproductions. All my works are original and one of a kind.

My work has been recognized internationally for my unique strokes in crosses.

How can artists connect with other artists?
Personally, I’m working alone because that’s the only way I can come with my ideas and make it happen. I don’t want to be contaminated professionally by other artists or works.

I’m “Solo” in my studio with my dog named Dash. The loneliness in my case scenario works perfectly for me. I can laugh or cry in front of my painting and not affecting anybody.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Well, normally, I’m showing through art museums. This museum’s vitrines allow me to present to everybody my work and messages. Also, you can visit my website www.johannesfineart.com where you can navigate through it and see deferents thematics I had done.

Investing in my art means that not only you buying from me as a living artist but also part of the amount going toward foundations that I support. Foundations and organism that work with women and children in need, also focusing on promoting education.
