Check Out Abigail Blake’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Blake.

Hi Abigail, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I think my love for photography started when I got my first point and shoot camera from my parents before one of are summer road trips. I can remember taking photos of almost everything we came across. At this time, I was very interested in landscape photography. Growing up in Montana and living on a mountain I had the best views!

Fast forward a few years later after graduating high school I still wasn’t sure what I was going to do. But then it hit me. I decided to go to school for photography. I ended up moving to Tucson, AZ to get my degree however that only lasted about a year in a half. Then I moved to Dallas to continue my education online with photography.

I graduated in 2019 with a BFA in photography. Now I’m a full-time photographer in Dallas!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would like to say it has been smooth, but the journey to where I am now in my business took a lot of hard work. I’m learning still every day with photography and that’s something I love about it. If I didn’t have the talent, I don’t believe my friends and family would have encouraged and supported me all this time!

I’m a shy and quiet person, but with photography, it has helped me come out of my shell and I am so proud of how far I have come. Photography has help me become who I am now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Dallas-based lifestyle, wedding, and portrait photographer. I love to capture the feelings my clients show at their session. I specialize in natural light but do know how to work a flash if needed.

Since it’s just me, myself, and I. I’m proud of how far I have come. I’ve been more confident in myself now and that gives me the ability to always improve.
