Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Carson.
Hi Angel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Aidenmyfly was birthed as a hobby after our son, Colin, gained his wings in 2015. Aidenmyfly started as a pastime, but over time, it grew into a business. In 2017, our second son, Caleb was born with the same disorder as our first son, a muscle disorder known as myotubular myopathy or mtm1, and we were absolutely devastated. Our lives changed drastically the day we received his diagnosis; we finally had answers for the cause of death for Colin, and vowed that we would do everything in our power for Caleb to live! Aidenmyfly was born in memory of our firstborn, Colin Aiden Carson
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been rocky. We have had to navigate having a son with special needs and running around to doctor visits. My husband and I working full time, having nurses in our home 24/7. In the early years we didn’t really have the time to put into it but the past year or so things have gotten better with our son and it has allowed us to give the business more time and attention. As we have given it more attention the biggest struggle has been content and getting in front of our audience. We have a lot to offer.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
By day I am a Systems Engineer for a private company in Dallas. I am great with computers. I do a lot of AidEnMyFly graphic designs because of my technical knowledge. I’m definitely known for being a techie. I am really proud of how far we have come. The work I’ve put into really gaining the appropriate knowledge in this industry. What sets me apart from others is customer service. We work really hard to make sure every customer is satisfied not only with their product but their service they receive.
What’s next?
The future for AidEnMyFly is all about growing. We have yet to enter the pop-up shop world but we plan to participate in several in 2022. We are a family company so it is really important for us to give back to our community. As we continue to grow, we are looking for ways to do that.
