Today we’d like to introduce you to Christoph “FrXsH” Burton.
Hi Christoph “FrXsH”, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story starts in downtown New Orleans, lower 9th ward on Deslonde street. Home sweet home. It’s also where my childhood was washed away by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, pictures, memories basically my entire past, but for me, it was a silver lining. It forced me to see a bigger world that I never new existed by relocating me to Dallas. At that point, I had fully dedicated myself to music and came up with the brand “Married 2 Music” or “M2M” to symbolize the new love of my life… Music. Booking local perform gigs growing my brand with my trademark backflips off stage during performances, songwriting for valley of the king studios, managing my clothing line “4gotten 4haraohs” managing artist such as “Sincerely Amor” and battle rapping the local MCs. Later I would expand my brand of Married 2 Music even more to djing weddings via wedding DJ company “DJ CONNECTION”. Which is an amazing experience in itself uniting soulmates and families as one…so needless to say I have been a very busy young man and I love every second of it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The full journey to success is actually truly the only obstacle. One of my favorite quotes is “Overnight success takes at least ten Years”. To me, this means two things. 1. It means that when someone sees a successful person, they first assume that he just magically popped out of nowhere and made it to that success overnight. What they don’t see is that the artist has been working on that craft for 10+ years. 10+ years of failures turned into small success stories. 1o+ years of building genuine relationships and following through with those connections. 10+ years of manifesting a dream into reality even if the finish line isn’t in clear sight. What they tend to see is the most updated version of your 10+ year plan, idea, and journey. The second part of the quote to me means that when you set your mind to something do not expect to blow up overnight. Expect to put in the time (10+ years) and the effort it takes to become legendary in that field. If you love it dedicate your life to it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Music has had an umbrella effect on me as far as expanding my entrepreneurial skills. I realized that Jay-z for example did not make the majority of his wealth from music but the multiple businesses he created around the music; in a since using music as a promotional tool. Using music to create a market for his other business to strive such as Roc-a-wear”, The 40/40 club, Dusse, Tidal, etc. by promoting the lifestyle throughout his music. I used this as a blueprint for my multi-business plan. My music speaks volumes in itself and is what I am most known for with creative metaphors, word flips, and songwriting abilities, etc. My most recent album release was entitled “4gotten 4haraohs” on all platforms and right now my number one single off the album is “IN MY BAG FT. Sincerely AMOR. (https://youtu.be/Af2hP2XTRU0). I will be dropping a follow-up project entitled “Diamond in the rough” on New Year’s with some of my latest un-dropped Jewels. I also created a clothing line called “4GOTTEN 4HARAOHS APPAREL” that is currently being sold alongside my partner clothing company “D love clothing” on my website http://www.Married2Music.com. also, under the Married2Music brand, I manage spotlight artists such as “Sincerely Amor”, “OG Kayano”, while promoting and market for leading entertainment and production companies such as “Galaxy 9 Productions where I developed relationships with Grammy award-winning producers like Jah Born who has produced for legends like Erykah Badu and a variety of other artist on the rise (Flowerchild, DQ Hampton to name a few). Through my photography company 4gotten 4haraoh 4hotograhy I often get some of the most creative shots at live concerts in the city (H.e.r. in concert). Also, I often lend my songwriting skills to a variety of artist via Valley of the kings’ studios working with music influencer billy Syn. while still Djing at multiple weddings around DFW weekly via wedding entertainment company “Dj Connections” with master Dj Tandy Jenkins deeply rooting myself into the local music scene through multiple avenues.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
The bond that I created with my childhood friends from the lower 9th ward of New Orleans and also the memories of my late family members that I carry with me every day. My oldest brother Deslonde Wayne, auntie Paulette Brown and Grandparents Isabell and William Burton. These family members along with my mother Rhoda Brown are my inspiration and motivation for the drive I have today. They are the reason I strive for success.
